Does anyone have anymore than one minecraft account? I see a lot of people with more than one and I am just curious what the reason is for more than one minecraft account? Is their a reason behind it? Like to mess with people? Backup for if you are deleted from a server? I don't know... what is the reason for more than one?

I have 2, one connected to all the servers that I play on and one that I use more often, my redstone account,

I have 3 accounts. Reasons:
- First one was because it was my first.
- Second on is because my brother wanted to play minecraft, so I bought him an account, but he stopped playing.
- Third, I didn't like my first username, so I bought another one (Before the name changing was announced)
I only use the other accounts to monitor people sometimes on my servers.

Sadly it's not fake. Google searches show that the names there have been banned quite a bit from many servers, so it looks like our friend uses them to grief. I just hope he actually paid for them and didn't do anything more nefarious than that.

If you're trying to make an account via the official minecraft site, they have a problem with all usernames being "Taken", so you need to get a gift code and use it to sign up with a Mojang account

I've bought 3 extra accounts over time, and they really come in handy when you need to be on more than one server at once. I can play Hypixel and moderate my server at the same time.

good reasons for alts:
-if you are famous and don't want to be swamped whenever you log on
-spying on a person/server without revealing your identity
-roleplaying reasons
-so you can have a cameraman while you build
-testing plugins/command blocks/mods/ect
course there is bad reasons like
-evading bans
-farming kills on pvp servers
-exploitation of some system
I dunno I want an alt mostly for rp-ying reasons and so I can have a decorative head that I wont have to worry about being changed.

I mainly use it for Roleplaying reasons too. Its helpful on creative servers on plots, cause then we have an extra plot to use, or going into a separate faction to spy on them to determine the next good time to raid. Which isn't an exploit, last I checked

By exploit I meant like using a fake player to get more money/dupe items. There is a reason I listed spying as a good reason, thats pretty clever to spy on the other faction.
The extra plot is a good idea also, I swear there is like so many creative servers with such small plots and you only get 1.

Sometimes you could have an alt so a friend could come over and play LAN if he didn't have one or sometimes when I'm really bored I'll play LAN with myself.

I have 1 alt O_o It's just cool to have a backup in case you get banned or something. Also you can mess with people ;D

I actually own 2 but I have quite a few that technically belong to my friends who said I could use them as long as they can have them back if they ever start playing again.

I have one. I can see reasons for having two: Sneaking to check up on servers/people, getting double the free starter items from a server, breaking bans, have a dedicated griefer alt. I just am too lazy righteous to do any of that.

I often use my alt to go check on servers that use my mods, either to see what's going on or sometimes to make sure they're keeping in line with my license. I use the alt because I don't want people going OMG FLENIX U MADE DEM ROADS ND MONEYZ when I'm trying to snoop.
The identity of the alt will forever be a mystery of course, except for the few people who downloaded the skin in my first 3 days on PMC (when I needed to boost to level 2 to submit FlenixRoads. Funny story; I wasn't greenlit when I submitted it. Now I'm #31 on the leaderboards and the newest member in the top 50. Whoops)
