Can anyone give me some advice on how to deal with this? Almost 5 weeks ago me and my friend decided to do something together, although, my other friend keeps making it so we cannot, every time, but my friend keeps saying we'll do it after this thing. Help?

If they can't accept that you want/need to spend time with someone else to do something, then they aren't necessarily a good friend. Take that as you will.

Just tell the other friend you need time to work on the story. If he/she opposes, stress that you have been trying to find time to work on it for the past month or so.

Tell him/her if he/she really wants to work on this 'thing' with you then they need to actually do it and not put it off and if they don't want to find someone else if its important.
