I am aware that there is a "replace" command but what I want to do is target all blocks of one type and change it into another. I want it so you can place a stained clay that turns another color. As far as I know, the "replace" can only go by cordinates and not specific blocks. I would like to know how to do it or know if it is possible. Thx

actually it says "replace is an invalid number" do you happen to know the right number? couldn't find it on google, thanks for the help

should be this:

I have mcedit but I don't want it to be permanent. I was hoping it constantly changed when you place it down. I'm making a minigame and it has to be ACTIVE changing ingame, thx for the help though

You can do this in MCEDIT. I don't know about vanila MC though...
