• Need help with getting a New PC! •
Hey!
I'm looking into getting a new desktop PC at the moment. I've had my current laptop for around 3.5 years now, but it's gotten to the point where it's sounding like a helicopter when I try to do anything except use the internet.
Basically I've got a grand total of £800 to spend on this thing, which needs to include a cost for a monitor.

So I'm looking for something which will be able to run pretty new games at around 60fps, and will be able to handle modelling / animation software such as Inventor, Maya, etc with ease. I'd like to get into modding for games like Skyrim and Fallout.

One of my friends recommended this monitor;
https://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-GL2450HM-Widescreen-Multimedia-Speakers/dp/B005OPLG0O
Which would take my PC budget down to ~£700.
As for the PC itself, I found this build online;
http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/Primal-GS7-196p2543.htm
It seems pretty powerful for the price, and looks as though it'll do what I need it to.
I don't really want to build my own PC - last time my friend and I tried to take a laptop apart professionally, I think we ended up with a twisted frame and broken motherboard - so I'd rather just pay the bit extra to have it prebuilt.
The only thing on the build is that the graphics card seems a little outdated? I did a bit of research and found a few older articles about it being compared to a GTX 970 at the time, and even then it was vastly out performed. It looks as though it'll do the job, but would I be better spending just a little more for a better one or not?
Thanks!

If the only problem with your laptop is how loud it is then that is an easy fix. Either you or someone else can clean out the fan and reapply thermal paste.
The GTX 960 is newer than the 970 but is targeted for more budget friendly builds. Use whatever is in your budget. I use a 760 and have no problems yet but I don't play high demanding games like Witcher 3.
