I don't think that's an animu, just a game. lol
However, while I was checking to make sure, I found this lovely film called "Woman Who Stole Fingers".
And if we're still passing recommendations around, you could look at my anime list in my signature. o3o

Though it may not be similar to anything, have you given Blue Exorcist a shot? It's got a lovely mix of comedy and emotion.

Looking for a deep plot?: Yuni Yuka is a Hero
Lots of laughs?: Ouran Host Club
Neflix Original?: The Seven Deadly Sins

Oh, and watch Fate/Zero and the 2014/2015 Fate/Stay Night.
Both are amazing. Avoid the earlier Fate/Stay Night, and Tsukihime.
If you need a film, watch AKIRA.
As for other shows?
Gurren Lagann
St Young Men (though, this has major religious themes, as it's sort of a parody. Still good, though.)
Valkyria Chronicles (not as good as the games, but an ok anime.)

HighSchool DxD if your of age =) the content is 18+ but it isn't porn like your thinking. I'd suggest giving it 5 episodes if you don't like it after that move on.
currently 3 season each 12 episodes.

Highschool DxD is a pretty perverted show tbh

Oh, and Lufuu, for a recommendation, I highly recommend Sgt. Frog. I have NO idea if its similar to the ones you like, but its hella good
Ishibumi intended to make the shounen-style light novel series that teenagers would be embarrassed to buy, yet was concerned that it might get an age restriction. In each of his afterword sections in the light novels, he makes numerous references to Oppai (breasts) and notes when he tries to make his characters more erotic
On his first date, Issei Hyodo is killed by Yuma Amano, a girl who sprouts black wings and stabs him in the abdomen with a spear of light. He wakes up the next day intact, assuming the incident to be a dream. However, when Issei is stabbed in the abdomen again by another winged creature, Rias Gremory, the school idol, intervenes, saying that Issei is her own. The next morning, Issei discovers he and Rias are naked together in bed.

Wait wut, it has a 3rd season!?!
Huh.
I wouldn't recommend. It looks nice, and it has its moments, but it's not that good.

I always thought it was funny and how he released such power just from seeing a nip slip or something similar. Another part was "let me touch yo titties" which resulted in him getting massive power. I just couldn't stop laughing lol. Also it thankfully does have 3 seasons and I believe the fourth is coming out in a month or two. The third season is called HighSchool DxD Born.

There's gonna be a season 4 in a month or two? if so i'm lookin forward to it

Few animes off the top of my head, and I'm assuming you don't mind fanservice due to you enjoying Kill la Kill
-Code Geass
Set in an alternate timeline where America never rebels against the British crown but the British rebel against the British crown instead. The British, now renaming the Americas as Britannia slowly take over the world and become rivals to the other world superpowers of the European Union and Chinese Federation. Eventually take over Japan, renamed Area 11 where the bulk of the anime is set. The anime follows the story of the exiled 11th Prince of Britannia Lelouch as he fights on the side of the Japanese resitance to make a world where he and his sister Nunally can live in peace after meeting a mysterious girl named C.C. who gives him the ability of Geass, which allows him to control the minds of other people. Has mech-fighting and sci-fi themes along with a small amount of fanservice. Watch it dubbed.
-Neon Genesis Evangelion
Set in an Earth where humanity is besieged by massive near immortal creatures known as Angels, the UN sets up NERV who use giant robots known as Evangelions or Evas in order to combat the Angels. Eventually however the origins of the Angels, the Evas and the dark forces manipulating both sides of the conflict come into the light. Some fanservice, and based upon religious imagery, also has a set of movies that try to retell the plot in a coherent way. Adequate dub, watch it subbed or dubbed depending on your preference
-Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood)
Set in the land of Amestris, based on early 20th century Europe alchemy is used by the people of Amestris in order to lead their country to the position of the leading power in the region thanks to their use in the military. The story follows the Elric brothers Edward (15) and Alphonse (14), two alchemy prodigies who attempted to use human transmutation in order to resurrect their dead mother leading to Ed losing an arm and leg and Alphonse losing his entire body in the failed transmutation. The story progresses as the two join the military in order to find a way to recover Al's lost body, however dark figures known as the homunculi appear and begin to cause chaos in the land. Watch it dubbed
-Cowboy Bebop
Set in the future with a devastated Earth caused by the malfunction of an Astral Gate (hyperdrive equivalent) in 2021 over the moon causing the Earth to be pelted by meteors. Humanity survives but most move offworld to the new colonies of humanity like Mars, Venus and Ganymede. Follows the story of Spike Spiegel, a former Red Dragon Syndicate (triad) soldier and agent who after faking his death and escaping his old life joins Jet Black, a former Ganymede police officer as bounty hunters aboard the Bebop, eventually picking up the computer prodigy Ed, the data dog Ein and the fugitive Faye Valentine. Watch it dubbed.
-Gurren Lagann
Set in a ruined earth ruled by a dark entity known as the Spiral King, humans are forced to live underground or they will be exterminated by the Spiral King's agents known as the Beastmen who pilot mechs known as Gunmen. The series picks up when a fighter from Littner Village known as Yoko accidentally lures a Gunman she was hunting into the neighbouring Jeeha Village where along with Simon and Kamina manages to destroy the Gunman thanks to Simon and Kamina discovering a Gunman known as the Lagann. From their the trio launch a rebellion against the Spiral King, picking up more and more members as the series progresses. Comedy and has a lot fanservice (not Kill la Kill levels though). Watch it dubbed
-Psycho Pass
Set in 2113, in a Minority Report setting where people have their minds read and if they are identified as a threat they are dealt with. I have only watched it subbed, and not sure if a dub exists
-Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan
Set in what is presumably Europe (most likely France or Germany), humanity is forced to live within three massive walls to protect them from the Titans, a race of massive (3-20 meters) humanoids that feed on humans. The walls provided humanity with salvation from the beasts for 100 years, but on a fateful day a 60 meter tall titan emerges and knocks down the outer wall (Maria), causing Titans to invade and destroy the area and humanity to once again live in fear of the giants. The story follows Eren Jaeger, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman and their childhood friend Armin Arlert, who join the military after losing their families after the Wall Maria fell. Only one season has been released so far, but the manga continues the story and more seasons will be released late 2016. Watch it subbed
-Hellsing Ultimate
Lots of blood, guns and death. Follows the story of Dracula, who after being defeated by van Hellsing becomes a servant of the Hellsing family and the English crown and church. Renamed as Alucard (very subtle), he acts as their elite soldier against the forces of evil, enemies of the Anglican church and all those who profane God. The story picks up as Alucard hunts down a vampiric priest who has turned an entire town into his undead minions (ghouls). He kills the priest with ease but sacrifices a police officer named Seras in order to do so, and in order to save her turns her into a vampire. Contains copious amounts of crusaders, murderous nuns, priests and monks, zombies, Nazi vampires/zombies/cyborgs and all that good stuff. Has comedy elements and doesn't take itself too seriously but it can get dark at times, also, fanservice. Watch it dubbed
Baccano
Follows several stories set between 1930 and 1932 and told in a mish mashed fashion following many different people. Don't think I can say much without ruining the plot or going on a 1000 word tangent, but it follows a group of people searching for immortality along with trains, psychopaths, demons and mobsters. Dub is great, can't comment on the sub though because I haven't watched it.
The must watch list though is Code Geass, FMAB, and Cowboy Bebop

watch RWBY it's soo good

Black Rock Shooter has rad fight scenes with cool girls like Kill la Kill does, along with some intense emotional stuff. There's an OVA and a TV series. I would recommend watching the OVA first.
Mekakucity Actors has like super power / supernatural abilities with some comedy and emotional things. There is also a manga. It can be really confusing for some people, though. If you plan on watching this, I would also say watch the music videos that go with this anime before or after watching / reading it.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a psychological and dramatic anime with cool fight scenes and very interesting animation. It involves magical girls, but don't let that fool you because it is jam packed with feels. When I first watched it I thought, "Hey, this art style and concept is really cute. I'm sure nothing bad will happen." A few episodes later, and I'm like crying internally. This show also has a movie called "Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion". It's a sequel to the first two movies, which are just recaps of the show with improved animation.
Watamote is a comedy anime featuring an antisocial 15-year-old shut-in girl. It has lots of cringy and secondhand embarrassment moments. It doesn't really relate to any of the shows you listed, but I think it's still worth the watch.
Angel Beats is another one with cool animation and awesome fight scenes. It's pretty emotional as well. It's about a kid who wakes up and finds out that he's actually dead and trapped in the afterlife with a bunch of other people. You get to eventually learn how these people died and why they are in the afterlife.

Did you watch any of the ones I suggested before? Plus, nifty flowchart is nifty.
But if you're honestly needing more recommendations,
- Gosick
- Hellsing Ultimate : You don't need to watch the original Hellsing. Watching Ultimate by itself is perfectly fine. However, this contains a lot of gore & swearing if you're fine with that.
- Higashi no Eden
- The Perfect Insider : Currently airing
- Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt : Similar to Kill la Kill with the art style. Has a ton of fanservice and vulgar jokes, very over the top show like KLK.
- Nobunagun
- Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri
- Attack on Titan
For something new :
- Sword Art Online : Very popular with beginners.
- Guilty Crown : If you're not someone who sits there and points out flaws, then you'll enjoy this.
- Madoka Magica : I'll let you enter this show blind.
- Bakemonogatari : Contains a lot of dialogue. And by a lot, I mean A LOT. However, the dialogue is interesting and the characters are as well.
- Noragami
- Akatsuki no Yona : One of the most enjoyable reverse harems out there with a ton of great characters. (Hak, Shin-ah, and Yona)
- Clannad : A sort of harem-ish slice of life that eventually turns into one of the best tear-jerking romance show ever. (Clannad: Afterstory)
- Fate/Zero : Fantastic action show with an interesting storyline.
- Neon Genesis Evangelion : I'll let you enter this show blind.

now that i have a good list compiled thanks!

Why are so many Americans obsessed with anime? Is Japan that culturally influential over us?
1
Because people like whatever. You have to remember, Hello Kitty it Japanese. The only problem, the Japan ratings aren't as censored as ours are, so, for example, something could be rated G there that is PG-14 here. I know that I gave a poor example but you get the point.
I don't really know much about Anime, if someone could tell me what it is?

Anyone else got some recommends?
1
Not a recommendation, but you should create a MyAnimeList account! It's useful when asking people for recommendations because you can just show them your list.
You basically just add anime and score them on a scale of 1-10 to a list and with that, people will know what you watched and liked or disliked. :3
