Not being aware of, reading, understanding, or acknowledging these rules will not excuse you, or anyone else, from the consequences. If you have a question about the rules or wish to have something clarified, you can ask any of the staff members or make a forum post.
These rules are not to be exploited, inappropriately interpreted, or intentionally using a 'loophole'. Anyone found to be using said 'loopholes' or any similar manner of 'rule bending' will be punished normally, if not more severely.
If English is not your first language, you can request a set of rules in another language - However we are not responsible for any and all translation errors.
Note: Donation items/donating does not excuse you from any of these rules.
These rules can be changed at ANY time without notice. Please be aware of changes and check the rules regularly.
Depending on the offense staff members are not required to issue a warning.
[Punishments]
In order of most severe to least severe, top to bottom.
Network Ban
You are completely and permanently banned from the CreeperCraft Network [All Servers, Forums, Sites, and IRC chats]. For those deserving special treatment.
Permanent IP Ban
Anyone caught hacking, serious exploiting, or a repeat offender will be permanently IP banned.
Permanent Forums Ban
Consistent poor behavior on the forums will get you banned from them. Note the forums and game are separate.
Permanent Account Ban
The account you were playing on when you received the ban has been permanently locked. Any and all donation items, achievements, etc; will not be refunded.
Permanent Ventrilo Ban
Your IP has been permanently banned from joining a CreeperCraft Server. Severe language, spamming, etc, will land you this one.
Permanent Character Ban
The character you were playing on when you received the ban has been permanently locked. Any and all donation items, achievements, etc; will not be refunded. Your account, and the rest of the characters on it, are still available to play.
Gear Confiscation
If a player has exploited/cheated to get gear, the character will lose ALL gear related to the exploit, as well as everything else.
Temporary Account Ban
The account you were playing on when you received the ban has been temporarily locked. The amount of time the account is locked can vary. When the time expires, your account will be unbanned and free to play once again.
Temporary Character Ban
The character you were playing on when you received the ban has been temporarily locked. The amount of time the account is locked can vary. When the time expires, your character will be unbanned and free to play once again. Other characters on your account are free to play.
Temporary Ventrilo Ban
Your ability to connect to Ventrilo has been locked for a set amount of time. Often, these bans occur when Ventrilo automatically detects spamming. If a mistake was made, make a forum post about it. Otherwise, no such leeway will be given.
Globally Muted Account
Your entire account involved, as well as all the characters on it, have lost the ability to verbally interact with players in the game for a GM - determined amount of time.
Muted Account
Your entire account involved, as well as all the characters on it, have lost the ability to verbally interact with players in the game for a GM - determined amount of time.
Muted Character
The character involved has lost the ability to verbally interact with players in the game for a GM - determined amount of time.
Kick
Due to your actions/behavior, you have been kicked from the server. You may login whenever you wish. Sometimes, a GM might kick a player because they cannot log out themselves.
[PvP]
CreeperCraft is a Player versus Player server - this means that you are open to attack at any time. It is completely allowed to attack enemy players at any time.
The only times/places you are not allowed to attack another player are these
The you are not's of PvP
You are not allowed to attack members of the opposite faction in the middle of, immediately before, or immediately after a GM
Hosted event, unless otherwise specified. If the event is a PvP event, then only attack members of the opposite faction when instructed too
for instance a 2v2 tournament: Do not attack spectators and such.
You are not allowed to use any class or item exploits at any time, this includes PvP
especially PvP. See Exploits.
Killing a GM is generally a bad idea. Use common sense.
Explode in profanity when you die. I.e
complain excessively.
Screenshots, or it never happened.
The you ARE's of PvP
You are allowed to freely attack anyone, anywhere, at any time. (Exceptions noted above.)
Killing someone while they are AFK is not against the rules.
Camping is not against the rules.
Spawn camping IS against the rules.
Kill people before/after they leave an instance, or are waiting.
Kill someone in mid
air or some other similar spot.
[Donation Gear/ranks]
You cannot refund donation gear under any circumstances.
Donor gear does not grant you any special treatment or privileges by CreeperCraft Staff.
You are not exempt from any of these rules as a donator.
A donation is intended to be a charitable gift to the server, do not complain if your gift in return (Donation gear) takes a while to get into your inventory.
Any attempt to trick/lie/deceive GM's about a donation will regard in a ignored request, or possible ban.
Donation rewards are non transferable and bind on character ID not name. If you delete your character your reward gets deleted with it and will not be restored.
[Account Security]
CreeperCraft Staff are not responsible for lost, forgotten, or stolen passwords/accounts.
Protect your password! CreeperCraft staff will NEVER ask for your password under ANY circumstances. Make it hard to guess- a password longer than 6 characters, containing a capital letter, a number, and a symbol is considered a strong one.
CreeperCraft will not restore lost/stolen accounts or characters/items due to compromised account security under any circumstances.
Any selling/trading/sharing of accounts/account information by anyone is strictly forbidden. Offenders will be permanently banned.
[Exploits]
Anyone found to be exploiting, bugging, cheating, bending the rules, finding loopholes, or hacking - intentionally or not - will be banned from the server. The situation doesn't matter, you could be exploiting a buff to make it last 5 seconds longer, to exploiting a instance to get free gear. The result is a ban. Don't exploit.
Anyone found to be in the company of, knowledge of, or use of exploits, bugs, or other content that isn't working correctly is also subject to the same punishment as the offender.
We cant ask you to report everything thats bugged in the game, but we will ask you to report when those bugs are being abused.
[GameMasters "Moderators"]
Just like you, the player, have an obligation to follow the rules, so do the staff that runs the server. If you find a staff member to be breaking any of these rules, report them on the forums. As long as you don't flame, complain, etc - just be honest and straightforward, you will not get in trouble for accusing a staff member. Don't be afraid! (Except for Crappy. Be very...very... afraid.)
[Verbal Conduct]
Use of racial slurs in any public chat is not allowed, and can earn you a mute. This goes for vent as well.
Severe profanity can earn you a mute.
"Damn" "Hell" "Ass" and acronyms, such as "GTFO" or "WTF" etc are not considered profanity, unless you obviously intend them as such.
Flaming people, insulting, etc in global channels is prohibited. Trying to troll will earn you a ban/mute.
[Server and Staff]
Treat the server and the staff with respect. Any and all disrespect for Gamemasters and their methods is completely unacceptable. This is different from critique, as we welcome all player feedback. Any players found to be blatantly disrespecting a Gamemaster, another player, or the server can get anywhere from a mute to a ban.
If you find that a staff member is giving you problems, talk to them about it- making a scene in LookingForGroup is not the way to do so. Our staff are happy to resolve issues with our playerbase, and a polite question and chat is the way to do so. If you're feeling that you've been unjustly treated and you don't feel uncomfortable talking to the staff member, simply talk to an Admin, or a different staff member to ask for you. It is never a good idea to verbally abuse or question a staff member. For a variety of reasons, but mainly- you will lose.
