Posted one like a year ago but budget and prices have changed so here
What is this computer going to be used for? Gaming on high settings, recording games and other applicatons, photo and video editing, miscelaneous other PC uses
What is your budget? $700 USD. I can probably push it to $750 if I really need to, but try to stay out if you can
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter? Nebraska, US. No clue
What is included in the budget? The meat inside the computer and the case.
Will you be overclocking? idk what that means haha
Will you be reusing any parts? I have a 500gb external hard drive that I'll use, that's it
What OS do you want? Whatever's the cheapest, as long as I can get a free upgrade to Windows 10
Any specific case preferences? Nope. PC speed comes before looks. If there's color incolved I'll go with red c:

I'm really surprised the best out-of-the-box 960 out there is under $200. I'd get that first if you're not buying everything at once because it might shoot back up to $210 or $220.

This should work great for 1080p gaming. It's fairly compact, too.

Use the Micro Center store locator on their site to see if there's one near you.
