PermalinkI have been playing the new Minecraft snapshot lately, and I had an idea. An idea for a boss, I mean, I know that they just came out with a new boss, but mine is a bit different.
(I can't think of a name) The boss would spawn in the dream world, (which was originally skylands but then jeb said it had a change of being a dreamworld.) Or have it's own world, the ice world, this world would basically be covered in ice and snow, and there would be whatever mobs wandering, some would be hostile and others would be friendly/passive. The boss would have it's own dungeon near the spawn of the dreamworld/ice world, there would be 2 other chambers before you could reach the boss, the first one being easy, the second medium, and then the third is where the boss would spawn.
The Boss' Powers:
1. Hillucinations. The (Name here) would shoot out crystals which would cause you to start hillucinating for 5-15 seconds, the time changes everytime you get hit with a crystal.
2. Blowback. The (Name here) would also shoot out a burt of air that would launch you back 5 blocks and 6 blocks up in the air.
3. Spawn minions. The (name here) would spawn it's own little minions, it would take 1 hit with a diamond sword, 2 with an iron/gold, 4 with wood or stone.
The Minions:
The minions would spawn in groups of 2-4, they would shoot out ice crystals that have a 50% chance to freeze you for 3 seconds, while frozen your damage resistance would raise.
Looks: The Minions would have the head of a blazeman but more Icey, and the body would be sort of a tornado looking spiral...thing..
(For A Mod Or something) The New Blocks and Items:
Ice shards: These items have a 15% chance of dropping from a Minion, they could stack up to 16 shards, they would be throwable like snowballs and do a quarter heart of damage. (you can also craft these by placing 2 ice blocks on top of eachother in a workbench or inventory)
Ice blade: This would be crafted using Ice Shards and sticks (Or Diamonds.) Using Sticks: The Ice Blade would have the duribility of gold, and the damage of Iron. Using diamonds as sticks: The ice blade would have the duribility would be a little less than iron and the damage would be a little more than diamond.
Dream Dust: The main boss would drop this once being defeated. You can use this dream dust to craft hillucination dust, to make Hillucination dust you would need to put an ice shard in the middle of the workbench and surround it with Dream Dust, this recipe would create 16 Hillucination Dust.
Hillucination Dust: This dust has no use unless crafted into a Hillucination Potion.
Hillucination Potion: This potion would cause the players to hillucinate and make things that aren't really there apepar. To make a potion all you do is make an awkward potion and use the Hillucination Dust in the brewing slot.
Shard Block: To create this block you would just make it like a lapis, gold, or any other block like that. You would use a Shard Block to create either stairs or fences. These are just decorative blocks.
Anti-H Potion: The Anti Hillucination potion would have the oppisite effects of the Hillucination Potion, to make it you would use an ice shard with the Hillucination potion.
I hope you like this idea, I spent a while thinking about this, I think this would most likely end up being a mod, I think there'd be too many things to be added in the game, and it'd be a bit less.. realistic.
