Hello and thank you for checking out our post.
Old Age Pensioners was started 2nd of October 2011 out of 2 people who only played Minecraft for about a month at that time. One of those people was Nugunz the other being Jadeziggygirl. They have a dual ownership on OAP and make decisions/call the shots.
The original idea was to create a newbie-friendly environment and to become a nice and relaxed community, specifically aimed at a more mature audience than other servers might aim for. Therefore we have set up a few rules and guidelines if you want to become a builder on OAP. Please note that we are not whitelisted and do not use these forums to boost our post's viewcount. Anyone is welcome to join and have a look as long as they have an MCBans reputation of at least 8.00 or higher.
When you first join the server, you will spawn into the rules room. Take my advice and actually read all the signs before you proceed rushing through the door. Ninety percent of new people do not go through the trouble of reading some simple rules and therefor don't make it through the first selection phase.
We are very careful of who we allow on the server, to protect our loyal members from any griefing, stealing or other trouble. If we have any doubt at all that there's something not quite right we will investigate, check logs, or make you start all over.
When you get past the initial tests, you (if everything else is in order) will be promoted to Builder and you can roam free where you like. We suggest you go to the help area by typing /warp help and see further commands and a brief explanation of them there. After you familiarize yourself with the commands you can choose between running around yourself or taking a subway line to another town. Our subway system consists of several dozen of miles of track, leading to almost every place you would want to be.
