| Opinions on my logo making skills thus far? |
I would love to get an opinion on my current progress into making professional looking logos for YouTube and general other internet based things.

Commander HuskyThanks for all the feedback, and expect me to update this with more work as I go!
You could just make an art blog and post your work on that.

I don't feel like individually replying to everyone, so I will just make a single post responding generally to everyone.
This is the second logo I have done with this much detail, a lot of my older logos were flat and had zero texture to them, this was all done using a free program called Paint.net, but I have edited the source code, and installed multiple plugins to make this fitting to my tastes.
As for the whole "What Does It Stand-for" it doesn't stand for much, the Husky head is there as it is an animal I have owned numerous times in the past, it is also a generally pretty sub-species of dog in my opinion.
As for the first comment (I loved your feedback, and will try to improve based upon your response, but still keep to my style as it is what I feel looks better) the whole "Burning It" will be something I try to experiment with, as well as the eye glowing effects and vise versa. Oh, and the fading is more of a texture issue rather then a purposeful feature, I will try to find some more unique and better quality textures so I can improve upon my works.

It looks nice, but "professional" is a different matter.
Professional doesn't mean flashy or overdone, nor does amateur mean simple and easy to duplicate. Professional, to me, just means that it 1) shows off the skills of the artist while not "showing off" too much, 2) clearly follows the desires of the customer/client while still being recognizable as your work, not just something anyone could have done, and 3) looks like work went into it. Simple design can still be hard to achieve, especially when you, as the designer, are itching to do something elaborate, but the client just wants something plain.
The artwork you provided has little context to it, so it is hard to tell if it works or not as a logo. Keep it up though, you have potential.

I don't see what drove your inspiration. What does it resemble? What did you want us, the viewers, to understand from your logo?
I feel as if I've missed something important behind the logo, and I have no idea what it is.
The effects are nice, but would blend better with a "burned in" object, rather than an image.
Eyes could use a glow for a rather striking appearance, instead of just "being there". The darkened part from the nose down gives me mixed feelings, and I believe you should have faded it, instead.
I love how the object is flat and doesn't have an unnecessary depth/pseudo 3D.
It is futile to rate this work and would provide no benefit, but the points above sure do make it seem lacking, and I'm unhappy about that.
