I've started this thread in hopes of getting a logical discussion going, so please don't try to derail it. I've been thinking a lot today of how complex our universe really is, and that it is simply too complex to be caused by something like the big bang theory.

I don't doubt the existence of a God, and I do believe in it. For something as complex as the universe, it must need a designer. There have been many theories about the creation of the universe, and its often "science vs religion". I've put together a theory, that ties in a creator, and the big bang. What I believe, is that the universe was indeed designed by a creator, but that isn't discarding the big bang. I'm thinking, that the big bang was a result of a prior universe collapsing. As the universe now is constantly expanding, you would think that it would eventually stop expanding, or start contracting. This cycle would have been started by a creator.

There is always the theory that the universe has always existed, while the human mind can't really comprehend that. In a world of finite, infinity is simply too much. Its always a possibility, as is any theory. But we may honestly never know, not in our lifetime at least.

I'd enjoy to see your thoughts on this subject, and I do not want this to turn into a religious flame war.

It's good bro that you think the universe wasn't just a random coincidence, and that I wa made by a creator. I'm Christian, so I believe the same, except the part about a universe before.

Revolver, I am simply stating a theory. Neither science nor religion prove anything. Religion is out of faith, and science is a way of explaining the unknown. Neither is proved true or not, and we may never know the true origins.

Now, please stop trying to derail a thread, same goes for all you "pony", spammers.

You ought to know in that quote you made i didn't slander god, it would have made sense if you had used the other one, i'll leave now im depressed enough already..
