This is my first post in this forum and I hope I'm following all directions correctly.
After installing Minecraft on a new computer it told me "Pixel Format Not Accelerated"
They had a page with a guide on how to fix the problem. I followed it to my best ability without success. Then there was another guide on what to do and I ended up here.
I even had a firend over that knows a lot more about this stuff than I do and not even he was able to help me.
When I ran the guide to find a driver for my computer it came back telling me that they were not able to find a driver for my system.
Here is the printout from dxdiag
http://paste.ubuntu.com/9787981/
I run Java version:
java version "1.8.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Enviroment (build 1.8.0_25-b18)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode)
This stuff don't make any sense to me but I hope that there is someone that can help me.

I have some more clues for my problem. According to a friend of mine that took a look at my computer claimed that my graphicscard was not suported in windows 8.1 and I have to downgrade to make it work.

Thank you for that advice "nammerbom"
Unfortunantly that did not work. After installing the Catalyst it told me there was a error and in the log it said:
AMD Display Driver
Final Status: Fail
Version of Item: 8.970.100.0000
Size: 90 Mbytes
And the error message read:
Error messages
Driver Install: the specified driver package was not installed for matching devices
Any more suggestions?

I've done some research about your computer based on what you gave us in that pastebin...
Download the driver at the bottom of this page (second download)
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows%208%20-%2064

I've personally had issues installing AMD drivers on Ubuntu, and others have as well. You might need to switch over to Windows if you want proper driver support.

What are your computer specs

Thank you for your suggestions.
When i google the problem I end up where they suggested me to post on this forum in hope of help. In the process I used the sight you liked to "_ender_dragon_" and that guide was not able to find any drivers for me.

Those specs on a core 2 quad cpu? *cough* prebuilt computers *cough* *cough*
Don't let Windows find graphics drivers for you, Past experience, it probably ends with a blue screen and graphics drivers not working.
Find the drivers on amd's site. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

"Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600) (9600.winblue_r3.140827-1500)"

Dangit, how did I overlook that?

Or should we question why he used a website with Ubuntu in the name?

The reason I used a website with Ubuntu in the name is because in the guilde I followed after failing my installation told me to post it there. To be honset I don't rly know what I'm doing and that is mainly the reason I'm here asking for help.

If integrated is that is built into the motherboard then no.
If that's not it then I don't know. It is a Radeon hd 4600 anyway.

What is your graphics card? Is your graphics card a dedicated gpu or integrated?
