Hello fellow people! A few months back, I had this server called Planet Derp. I remember pushing it as an Original Server not conforming to what's popular at the time (Factions, PvP, etc.) and letting users give feedback on what server genres they wanted to make it their server, not just mine. It felt like a community, but due to the fact that free servers are limited, it died pretty quickly.

Now that the EULA killed off a bunch of huge scamming servers, this leaves room to the minority to shine once again, like the good old days. Unfortunately, people still make pretty bad Factions Servers, and there's still a bit of unoriginality roaming, I wanted to sweep it away and make Originality the main genre of servers, encouraging those to put effort and not give up on your crazy imaginative ideas. So I thought for a while about this, but soon I decided with a determined snarky remark: "You know what? I should bring back Planet Derp!" Unfortunately, although it's revived, the server is still on that free "1 hour it stops limited plugins" crap; but I can still make it work nonetheless.

That's right! I'm literally sweeping the old corrupt staff in favor of new people, fresh with creative minds, logical thinking, and filled with maturity as well as goofiness! Is this you? Well, keep reading on, my fellow possible future staff member!

Now, the positions we need are pretty limited. A Co-Owner is needed because I can't do this darn server alone! I do already have a Co-Owner up for the job, but that's only if he PMs me back... This is your chance to nab the spot and prove me wrong! Staff-In-Trainings are also wanted, but not needed as much. They're just filler for helping out yours truly and the possible Co-Owner, but you'll still be treated with the upmost respect. I'd say about 5 of these are wanted if I'm in a generous mood or just like your app too much.

Staff-In-Trainings: 2/10 (Optional Staff as of now, but aren't needed as much. I added 5 more slots because being a moderator is possible now!)
Translators: 1/5 (We need ones currently for French, German, Chinese, and Japanese. The same application format is required, unfortunately.)
Developer: 0/1 (*New Rank as of January 2017!* They are more of the lines of "Plugin Developers", but they have to answer a few more questions (Will obviously be labeled as "Developer Questions"). Also, it's only one, so hurry now!)
Moderators: 1/5 (This is not applicable as of now, but iSun, former Co-Owner, got demoted to this due to inactivity for 1 month. Will not be available untill launch!)

The Requirements of a Planet Derp staff member are the following:
You Must be 16 or Older to apply and show some signs of maturity (I'm 16 myself, as you can tell).
I don't do Skype, so putting out a Skype or Discord for me at the moment is a big "No-No"
You must have good grammar skills
You must also be good at knowing what a plugin is and the knowledge of good and bad plugins
You must promise not to show any betrayal or lies to me or the members of the server
You must be good with other people and have a balance of strictness and fun
Your application must look professional, neat, creative, and clean, with no signs of unoriginality or effortlessness. (Pictures are allowed, but does not increase the chance of you getting accepted) Copy/Pasting is not allowed for this, as it looks lazy, sleazy, and overall increases your chances of denial
One does not simply abuse their powers. Do not do this upon entering or becoming accepted, or else you will lose your position, and possibly your time on the server
You also must not use swears. Kids are on this server too, so if you are a swearer, please refrain from this and use alternatives such as "Crap", "Fudge", or "Oh my goodness!". Teaching kids manners is one step closer to less rude kids. If you must use a swear, please let me know for what reason
If you are depressed, but are still looking for a job for this, please let me know. I'll help you out with your issue before you get accepted (If your application is good)
You must be familiar with Java programming in terms of plugins. ~Developers Only!~
Your Plugins must work when you give proof of them to us, or else you will get denied easily. ~Developers Only!~
You must be active on the forums and/or the server! Failure to do so in 1 month prior (If not notified for a specific reasoning, like vacation time) will get either a demotion to the rank below their current ones (Co-Owner and Developer ranks will get demoted to moderator if inactive). Every month of inactivity prior is 1 demote down until they are stuck as a member (Note you aren't banned nor temp-banned after you are member, as you just are stuck as a member until you re-apply).

I understand that you are very concerned about depression and suicide and what-not, and I can totally relate to you. Personally I have not experienced depression at all, but I have definitely witnessed it in my own life. This makes me a very ethical person, and I am very careful when talking to people I just met due to depression.

I have owned and staffed multiple servers, however when I am actually playing on servers I excel at "making bases" in factions, and enjoy doing so.

My first paragraph is going to give some information of my time on Minecraft, mostly the experience I have had staffing. My story all started two years ago, when I was introduced to Minecraft. I got Moderator on a server that got around 10 players, and I loved it. I played on it every day, until sadly it shut down. This was devastating (not really), and I started hosting my very own server. I loved having the strong relationship to my community, and creating great content for them. I managed to create an exceptional gaming experience, with a very friendly community. I thought I had it all - but all things must come to an end. My partner was a very greedy man, and loved money. I am a very spoiled kid, I didn't really need the money we were making from the server, but he definitely wanted it. I felt like I was constantly telling him to stop spending our money, and getting him to actually use it on the server. He was slowly spending the servers money, but I did not know it. He was taking some money for himself periodically, and small amounts at a time. By the end, he was taking larger amounts daily. I did not even notice his takings, until one day I tried to log in to the paypal to see the financial situation. I find that the paypal account we shared was closed, and then find he blocked me on everything. He wiped the server, and changed the password to everything.
This second paragraph will introduce my style, and how I take on staff roles. As an admin, you do not have a very specific job. You administrate the server, and make sure everything is running smooth. You assist moderators with their job, and give information to higher ups. The way I administrate

Well gee, I wonder why nobody is applying yet? It's been 5 days since the last application has been posted, so you can still keep going! xD
Anyways, we are currently wiping-out most staff members now! I've noticed since the past month, staff members have been inactive. Well, I just posted a rule that if you are not active in 1-3 months prior, you get a decent chance of demotion! This isn't me trying to be strict or make you shy away, because I'm still the nice friendly me I always am! Unfortunately, I'm getting sick and tired of people not being active on here, and the fact that people don't give a crap about this anymore... I do want to keep going with Planet Derp, don't get me wrong! But with inactive staff members, I just cannot stand it. I know it's currently school time for most, but I'm still pushing though, trying to keep my grades up while balancing this server as well. Here are the people who can keep their positions and/or status as staff:

Okay, I just read it, and the grammar mistakes here are fatal. Look, I can see that it's understandable due to your iPad and such, but an iPad does have an autocorrect feature, and any red words should either autocorrect itself and such. That's probably a thing you never knew about the iPad, and now you know (Yes, I'm a nerd, and I'm proud of it! x3). Besides all that, what Mario said about your app is pretty true, even with your age explanation, we still need 16-year-olds. I mean, maybe you could be a consideration due to your Norwegian translating skills, but you kind-of seem to act a teensy bit desperate about your wanted position. We used to have an Enjin site, but that faded away due to the fact I had to feed it money every 5 seconds like a baby crying for his/her bottle. So what I'm say is, if Astro is inactive, there's a small chance that you might get Developer. No, you won't get OP, all because I'm picky about it and the fact that the internet is filled with trolls, even if one is trustworthy. In terms of your essay, Mario is right about that too... I was born in an hospital, raised by my parrents... i started playing minecraft in 2008 (I belive) then in 2016 i builded my gaming pc, after that i stoped playing mc for a while, but innthe recent months i have started again. I also love to make campfires in the woods, and walk my dogs.

What makes me different is that i have allways since i was 12 been thinking about how to make my own money, what productive should i do with my life. So i started learning code. I did take a break in 2016 but started agian in 2017. I'm also admin on the #1 most popular modded Rust server. I owned my own Rust server and it reached #20 and had 80ppl on a day. I made 200$ from it. And i was happy, but then christmas was closing up and mid-therms in school came. I just did not have time for my server anymore so i closed it. I have some experience with coding minecraft plugins and i'm actually taking couses learning how to code java.

I have never been banned or muted on an mc or rust server before (excluding tests or retarted friends). Age is a number it doesent realy matter that much its the personality that matters the most. And everyone says my voice sounds like a 16 year old. My height could represent a 20 year old (im 1m 90cm). If i didnt think like a grown up or didnt have good maners. Then i would not have been admin on the 1# most popular rust server, i would not have owned 20# most popular rust server (at the time). But i cant probably change you mind, i just want you to keep this in mind.

Gosh, this application made my day perfectly! That's actually really amazing that you're learning how to code, and we could use a good developer on our hands! Unfortunately, the "Admin" ranking is not an option in our listings because server owners just give this out for free as more of a "Less experienced developer with op" rank. Usually "Admins" will just abuse or grief, so this is why I got rid of it. I will, of course, give you helper (or Staff-in-Training as I call it). You'll stay as helper until you make 3 plugins before somebody nabs the developer position from you. You can take your time, but if your plugins are amazing and there's already a developer, I will fire him/her and give you it. Gosh, this application made my day perfectly! That's actually really amazing that you're learning how to code, and we could use a good developer on our hands! Unfortunately, the "Admin" ranking is not an option in our listings because server owners just give this out for free as more of a "Less experienced developer with op" rank. Usually "Admins" will just abuse or grief, so this is why I got rid of it. I will, of course, give you helper (or Staff-in-Training as I call it). You'll stay as helper until you make 3 plugins before somebody nabs the developer position from you. You can take your time, but if your plugins are amazing and there's already a developer, I will fire him/her and give you it. Well, this is interesting... Nobody seems to be applying! I mean, there are still positions, but you seem to not grab at 'em. Is it because we bump this too much, or is it because we sound like a broken record? I don't know. All I know is, we're not trying to be desperate. I'm literally almost done with getting Planet Derp to be premium! Soon staff will be able to get on at their own leisure (Especially iSun over here...) and not have to bother me! Also, since the gamemodes on the server are so original, we cannot find the exact plugins needed to make a truly original Planet Derp. This is why I am proud to announce that we are now hiring an advanced plugin developer! They do not get OP, but they do get to test out certain plugins. If the premium server doesn't faze well after all, we will go back to the free server. Don't be alarmed, as all of the ranks and stuff will be kept, but more customization will be initialized! You can still apply, but this time, once the server fully launches, you have a slight chance of getting Moderator (Only 3 of them will be chosen). For now, get excited and go apply for helper!

My IGN is JJEK2323 (My Initials... I know, sooo original right). Well you said my age honestly matters so I guess I'll tell you, I am 17. I also live in MST, just thought I'd throw that in here.
The position I would like is really any but I prefer a higher position that has to do more. I am used to positions like Admins or Head Admin. I love being able to help out with new people on the server but also help out other staff and just have all that secret info only special people know
A little bit about myself... I live a nice life right now but I've been through my fair share of struggles to get here.... I moved to America from England when I was about 5 with just my mum. We moved here with nothing really just our backpacks. We lived from house to house just trying to survive. Eventually my mum found someone she loved and they made there own business and now we have a really good life...
Now Minecraft comes into play when I was about 10-11. I joined just because a friend told be about it and I only used to play hunger games mode at first (I absolutely loved it hah) then I began to explore more and fell in love with servers not just the gamemodes. Then I saw that you could mod and Administrate servers and I wanted to do it so bad because I was mature enough around 14 but I was just to young for people. Now that I'm older I love doing it. Its just so much fun.
Now I'm really good at playing minecraft but suck at all the coding stuff so that's why I like being Admin because I love being a part of the whole server, in the game and behind the scenes. I also fell that I bring a great personality to the team and the server. Almost ever server I play on people know who I am and I don't mean that in a cocky way I mean that I just love making friends with people. Which leads me to what kind of personality I have....
I feel that I am a really kind person, I have a lot of patience (I live with 3 younger siblings, so I have to wait like 3 hours just to say a word to my mum lol). I'm a really friendly person to, its easy to be friends with me as long as you are nice too but I can be strict when I need to be.
Hmmmm and IQ test never done one of these before... I got a 138
Luckily for me I do not suffer from depression but I know people who do and I try to help them as much as possible.
Only thing extra I want to say is even if I don't get picked I hope you have amazing luck on your server and I hope it grows big!
I feel like I could bring a positive environment to the server bring more of a community where everybody knows each other but also that everyone knows me especially if I'm a staff so they know they can talk me if something is going on, tell me about something. I Also feel like I can make some kind of bond with the other staff members so we all talk to each other. So we can all Be just did one big community and trying to make the server bigger and better.
I think I am a good person to bring in to your team because I would get everybody involved. I have Co-Owned A couple servers but unfortunately the owners who are paying for the servers could not keep up payments. I have also moderated a couple servers been maybe two. I'm Moderated each server for about a year or so him and I really enjoy it, and fortunately I had to stop moderating the time I was moderating 2 at a time btw sorry and I had to stop because of some family emergencies. Hi Fizz! Look, I know you're probably a nice guy, and you've regretted the stupid stuff you've done, but I'm sorry for what I have to say: This app has probably been one of the most, uh... Peculiar of the bunch. I know, but let me point some stuff out about it... First off, This server is meant to be kid-friendly, and any swears are not allowed to be said, unless you have a valid reason for it. Alternate Swears are allowed though, like "Crap" or "Fudge" for example. Second, (yes, I have pointed this out with another application) the non-capitalized "I"s. How many times do I have to say to everybody: No; non-capitalization does not make you cool. It makes you seem lazy. Third, some of your grammar is off. I know you're 17 and I may sound like a nerd (and I'm proud! :3) for saying this, but grammar is important for staff members. If one couldn't spell due to being from another country besides the USA and/or the UK, that's fine. But from what I can tell, you're "possibly" from the USA. You didn't put loads of effort, and I can see that you just copy/pasted the application and colored it in with colors. I did say to not copy/paste the app, so there's another applying rule broken. You didn't give proof of the IQ test, nor do I watch any of those people you mentioned, so I have no idea what personality you have. Okay, here we go. my first reason is: i need somthing to occupy my time, reason saying this is because i dont do much on my computer so i think this would be a great time killer and also i get to meet some new friends which is pretty chill. second reason is i think it would help me improve me social skills with people. Ive been staff on multiple servers before in the past but i stopped. Once i turned 16 i noticed i never really connected with any of these people i was working with. Whats the point of a team if you cant communicate right? Anyway most of these servers were filled with salty kids, and between you and me i really wanted to punch some of these dudes, unorganized and confusing. it wasn't my kind of scene most of the time. Now don't get me wrong, some of these servers were great but all things come to an end which sucks.

I know A LOT of guys say this and its hard to tell who is lying and who is for real about the stuff they say, and i can say from past experience tons of dudes applying for staff lie and i dont lie. Let me give you a bit of a background about me and you'll see why this connects to why i think i deserve to be accepted. i come from New york. the big apple, i dont know where you live but NYC isnt what you think it is. i grew up around gang bangers credit card scammers and a lot of other bullshit. I tell this to a lot of people about NYC. it isn't a nice place, i've been jumped, robbed, attacked, stabbed, and shot at in this hell hole. all of this stuff molded me into the person i am right now, i learned not to trust anyone but myself. im a very humane person and down to earth. you dont find alot of people like me especially during these times of uncertainty : ( BlackLivesMatter protests, Donald Trump, Etc. ) and i think i would make a good addition to the team for these reasons, all groups need the person whos seen it all and lived to tell the story, to be honest i want to be a role model for the younger guys and hopefully straw them away from the dangerous stuff if they go down the wrong path. i know what your thinking, this is a mine-craft server not a help line. I get that but behind every screen is another human being and i think its my duty to help some of these people, regardless of what platform he or she is on.

A Three Paragraph Essay on Why You Want the Position of Choice (Yes, I will read all of it, and it is required! I'm not joking about this!):
Okay, here we go. my first reason is: i need somthing to occupy my time, reason saying this is because i dont do much on my computer so i think this would be a great time killer and also i get to meet some new friends which is pretty chill. second reason is i think it would help me improve me social skills with people. Ive been staff on multiple servers before in the past but i stopped. Once i turned 16 i noticed i never really connected with any of these people i was working with. Whats the point of a team if you cant communicate right? Anyway most of these servers were filled with salty kids, and between you and me i really wanted to punch some of these dudes, unorganized and confusing. it wasn't my kind of scene most of the time. Now don't get me wrong, some of these servers were great but all things come to an end which sucks.

I know A LOT of guys say this and its hard to tell who is lying and who is for real about the stuff they say, and i can say from past experience tons of dudes applying for staff lie and i dont lie. Let me give you a bit of a background about me and you'll see why this connects to why i think i deserve to be accepted. i come from New york. the big apple, i dont know where you live but NYC isnt what you think it is. i grew up around gang bangers credit card scammers and a lot of other bullshit. I tell this to a lot of people about NYC. it isn't a nice place, i've been jumped, robbed, attacked, stabbed, and shot at in this hell hole. all of this stuff molded me into the person i am right now, i learned not to trust anyone but myself. im a very humane person and down to earth. you dont find alot of people like me especially during these times of uncertainty : ( BlackLivesMatter protests, Donald Trump, Etc. ) and i think i would make a good addition to the team for these reasons, all groups need the person whos seen it all and lived to tell the story, to be honest i want to be a role model for the younger guys and hopefully straw them away from the dangerous stuff if they go down the wrong path. i know what your thinking, this is a mine-craft server not a help line. I get that but behind every screen is another human being and i think its my duty to help some of these people, regardless of what platform he or she is on.

PS: I'm thinking about doing an animated series of this server! It's about the staff of here overcoming problems and trying to fix them through various hijinks. Sometimes it's even various shorts of them solving real-life problems like griefs! Most of the stuff happening in the Flash animation (Yes, it's going to be in Flash... Shut up about HTML.) is actually stuff that happened on the server as a whole. I'll actually make and release it once the server picks up steam. Here's a screenshot! (By the way, I'm voicing all the characters in how I think you all sound like in my head/imagination!)
I actually have a lot of hope for the show, so once the server picks up a niche audience (about 10-ish players per day), I will make and release it, but that's only when the server launches...

Hello Mario! Now, I'm usually very picky about choosing staff, unless I'm in the mood to be like "Everybody gets helper!". It actually would be very cool to have a translator for the server, especially if they know English pretty fluently too. I understand you're from another country, and sure there are some grammar flaws, but it's understandable. I think you application was really good (especially when you made your app pretty original and actually wrote it out, in which I like), but there's one more step to being a staff member: Specifying your age. If you're too secretive about your age, it's okay. You can do either one of the two things: You can PM me or tell me your age range (Examples being kid, early-teens, late-teens, early-adult, late-adult, etc.). I'll at least give out a translator rank to you, since you seem like a nice person. I can translate some Spanish, but it's pretty raw. Heck, I don't even know a lot of "Vosotros" things because my school skips it. Anyways, I'd say you are accepted! Just tell me your age, since being a 16-year-old or older is required...
