Planet Minecraft

I got minecraft when it was in it's 1.8 stage and it would work fine. Now when i'm in single player it lags horribly and in multiplayer chunks just don't load at all. Then when i get off every browser i open takes forever to load. Please tell me if there's something i can do, or if i just have to get a better computer (which i can't right now). Thanks to anyone that replies!

For the singleplayer lagging, if you haven't all ready, try going to video settings and doing render distance tiny and graphics fast and things like that, but as for the multiplayer i think you'll need to get a newer model computer.

if you install the mod Optifine it gives you more setting options that you can turn off witch will make your game run better. and if that dosent work its probly a memory issue

Hmm, Your computer might be slow. Try restarting it, then run a virus scan. How many Gb of ram does your computer have?

I remember on time i tried installing a mod, put it in the wrong folder, tried to remove it, and ended up deleting all of my minecraft folders

apparently i only have one GB of RAM... I didn't know that...

oh yeah, by chunks don't load i mean i can see through the ground(?). I can see chests, caves, torches, lava, and mobs. It's not like a world hole because i can walk on the invisible ground.

I'm guessing that your system can't handle minecraft Also, Do you have a graphics card?
