Here is the place to display textures you're working on, and discuss texturing in general. You can also get some quick help here if it's needed. If you post some of your own textures, it would be nice to comment on someone else's too!

Hooray for tutorials! I don't know much about it myself so here you go
http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/bio ... ing-color/
This is a really old tutorial so some things may be outdated. There are more biomes now but coloring still works the exact same
Oh, that's cool. I need to get used to greyscale pixel art though :/
When I make foliage textures I always draw them in green and colour them grey when they're done.
Ah, I see, thanks for the tip

SpeedyWTFshadyAny tips on how foliage/biome shading works? The tutorial in the OP doesn't cover that part, which seems really confusing to me.

I'm planning to start making my own texture pack. I know pixel art and what not, but I don't know how to exactly texture. Any help with it?

The tutorial in the OP is really really helpful, I'd give that a read. Other than that make sure you don't use any skinning knowledge, except for things like mobs.

Nah, I know a lot about pixel art etc, so that won't be a problem. I'm reading the blog in the OP right now.
