I am currently trying to switch from hosting my test server off of wifi to an Ethernet Cord. When I already port forwarded it through my wifi it was working 100% it was just the ping... it was so bad. So I opened up my server properties and changed my server ip to my Ethernets IPv4 address. My public ip is still the same. so of course i used that for when people wanted to hop onto my server. But my server appears to be offline after i do that, nobody can join. If this makes sense to you then please help. :/ i use an AT&T router. I can not figure out if my public ip is supposed to change if I switched off my wifi and plugged in an Ethernet cord.
