In the new patch 1.6.6 at the bottom of the list it says "Removed Herobrine".

Hopefully you know the story. Herobrine basically still exists, but in spirit. But to bring him...or it... back to life, you need SinglePlayer Commands, type Spawn Monster and it will spawn basically herobrine, but with the default skin instead of the flaring white eyes.

P.S. I know some of you are going to say Herobrine isn't real, just get out and say it if you must. I don't mind. I like to believe he's real though. It adds some mystery to MC. It's like the ghost story of MC.

On my server, which has the death announcements like yours i imagine, a Herobrine death usually pops up after a player is smited with lightning by a mod or admin.

isnt the herobrine a pigman in the nether. or a pig that gets struck by lightning ?

God every time i go on minecraft i always think herobrine is just going to pop up on my screen some stuff can scare u sometimes notch please tell us if herobrine is real or not tell us the notch
