I've seen a few if these topics but everyone puts "I'd go get a gun derp derp and my famiry derp herp a derp and we go miitary base, derp herp derp.". Come on people! Think further ahead with what you can do, not with random garbage that you think would work even though it wont', I want a realistic anwser a detailed plan even, if not list the craziest or most fun things to do in a zombie apocalypse or other end of the world scenario,except for that "get a gun and leave to a military base" crap.
Now I'd love to reply to all of you to see if the plan would work or just poke holes in your plans but I can't get to all of the posts, so I'll try, unless its so damn stupid and generic its not worth my time, but sometimes that idiot will get a reply from me.
Reasons why generic plans won't work
1. First off once news gets out that there are cannibalistic maniacs running around people will go beserk and try to escape where ever they are, that results in raided stores, blocked up roadways and missing boats.
2. Evac points will eventually be announced on radios and television, and people will start to head to where it is and thus more traffic will apear and those who manage to get into evac points will just be trapped in a slow moving, crowded, area and eventually get eaten or infected thus resulting in what some people like to call "Dead-zones, Hot-zones, hot spots, infected-zones, nests, hot spots", and many other names.
3. WIth all the stores raided, you will have little to nothing to get from them, so its time to go loot some cars, but that makes noise, and noise attracts infected, But how else are you gonna feed your ass? Raiding your neighbors homes? Probably but that'll only last so long.
4. Mental state, most people will not be able to cope with the end of the world, society, life whatever, so they'll go insane, they may start to think they are infected, they may becoms a dangerous individual to anyone they meet, they may commit suicide or some such other result from this breakdown.
4. People, who can yu trust when theres no one to set rules, and laws? Next no noone! Most strangers you come across may not be hostile but why take the risk when you can just as easliy silently kill them and take what they have? Why, because if you can find out they're friendlies you just gained a companion in this bleak, dark world which I ever so desire.
4b. Along wiht the people you meet societies will be slowly popping up, small strongholds, bands of survivors wandering the cities and towns, and also groups of raiders, raiders are a constant danger becasue they will shoot first and ask questions later, and on top of raiders what could be even worse than cults. A cult is basically a created religeon, but cannot be considered so unless it has been around for over 100 years, with cults they could be mad, sadistic, they could be caring and naive to the situation and thinking its gods hand playing to "cleanse" the earth. Well who knoiws don't get mixed up with them.
5. Emotions will get in the way, but you dont want to be stone cold. Let's say one of your team members is surrounded by a group of zombies and theres nothing you can do, and you hear him/her yelling for you to help them, the normal person would try their best to save them. Follow this advice, its better for one to go then all of you.
6. Weapons, in america, Its a constitutional right to be able to bear arms :3, but who is wielding this weapon? Like I said before people will go mad, some will be timebombs, others will be ignorant of the situation at hand but in any case, anyone with a gun is a potential danger to you and your group. So make sure they're safe before you go say hi.
7. Power, Electricity would go out after a certain amout of time, the power grid would go down, nuclear reactors would...fuck whats the word...they dont explode but they wil release large amounts of radiation, so anyways the power will go out, so you will need a silent generator or learn to live without electricity, so the "Id play minecraft, blah blah blah" garbage would be an impossiblity unless you have a laptop that runs on button pressing.
8.Entertainment is a vital thing, have any of you heard of cabin fever? Well basically without any sort of mental or physical stimulation or differnt secenery would drive you mad, thats why sometimes people say they'll go mad from boredom. Read a book, draw, keep a journal, anything to keep your mind off whats going on while your hiding out or relaxing.
9.This one isnt really a tip but If i were you I'd keep a journal of everything you have done or that you think, anything on your mind, once you pass on someone might find your story and that'll give them something to do.
10. Weapons are always a must to have, its better to stockpile your ammo rather than waste bullets on a few zombies, why bother when you can kill them with an inanimate object? Now collector swords are not made to be used to kill they will break, grab some sports equipment, thats pretty good, but grab a metal bat, the wooden bat will just break more quickly.
11. Towns and such, you'll eventually need a place to settle down and not have to worry everywhere you go, so find a stronghold gather more survivors and fill the place up with people to defend it, to gather supplies everything a society needs to work. or you could always just join another town.
12.When people say they;d grab a gun and go out and murder all the zombies they can, thats garbeg righ there, you need to know your guns inside in out, what happens when it jams, or it needs to be cleaned? Weapons maintenacne must be regularly performed the the longest and most effective use of it.
13. Mainly the the survivors will be ones with strong minds, and bodies, people with broken minds too, or psycopaths, sociopaths, all the insane and deranged are made for this, if its already broken its hard to break it again.
14. Don't be so isolated from everything, you will always need to know whats going on
15. Paranoia can be a good thing, but if you're a very paranoid person, you will most likely be too afraid to leav the house, or if you're jittery and easily scared you will probably shoot your partners head off.
