i recently built my new rig... it cost £380 ($420 USD).

I purchased the parts separate to get best prices... but heres my spec. its good for another 4 years :)

Amd FX - 8core Cpu
12gb - 1800mhz superfast DDR3 ram
120gb SSD
250gb normal sata hdd for storage
Nvidia Gefore 450gs 1gb graphics.

runs any game maxed out for less than most gaming pc's and doesnt even try.
for minecraft / spoutcraft and my battlefield, its very sufficient spec.

overclocking is an oldschool thing to do, and its not worth it when you can build a system, and maybe overclock it in 2 years if you think you need to.

if your from the UK

check out dabs.com

unbeatable parts prices.

hope this helps

8cores not enough?

thats pretty badass overkill for even cinema4d editing. 3ds max is limited to quad cores regardless. so dont waste your money :p
