Hello, can I be a part of it? [It seems a lot of people like Len. He's like me, blond hair, both like yellow, black, green, and white and lots of other sorts of stuff] I practically resemble Len. I have a younger sister, same problems as Len, and much much more. Heck, my MC skin and icon is Kagamine Len.

Yes, vocaloids are voice synthesizers, robots people would call them. But they aren't all just from computers. They have a voice bank which singers volunteer their voices to be stitched together to get what we have today. And those voices are just mere snippets; the singers produce only a sound (Like 'Ah' or 'Ou'), and the producers do their work by editing the scraps together. People see this as the producers having no talent because all they do is press the 'Make music' button and voila.
It takes hard work putting together the sounds, adjusting the pitch, putting in reverbs, and even adding subtle things like gasps; which emulates real people when they sing. Think of it like making graphics; you take some images, edit them, and make them look pretty. That's what the producers of vocaloid songs do.
And people love it.

I wouldn't lie, I do like vocaloids as well. But man, this hub ran dry. Heck, I'd like to join but it seems like the place is dead. If the place was still thriving with some living people and not negative people, this would've been a big community of sharing. But all I see are some kids running in here and saying that vocaloids are dumb and people should listen to some real music. o_o

To: Everyone who asks, "Why listen to Vocaloid when there are human singers?"

Well, Vocaloid projection screens are truly amazing. They had one at comicon, and it made the models look truly real. Maybe you like the voice of Katy Perry, or any of the popular singers, we just happen to prefer the voices of Vocaloids. Utaus can be made to create the perfect singer for one person, and then plenty end up liking them. Take Kasane Teto, for instance. As much as I hate to say it, she's not an "Official Vocaloid," yet she is very popular and has many songs. Maybe you don't like the current Vocaloids, but if you had a Utau that sang in the perfect voice to trigger your emotions, you would. Don't hate on the current Vocaloids. They're perfect for us.
