Hello PMC,

My Birthday is coming up soon, and I have only one thing in mind of what would like, and that would be a AlienWare Gaming Laptop, But I have no clue which one's are good, what's a good proccesor, If it's good for say music, or game's, Everthing, So that's why I cmome here to ask you, Which AlineWare Gaming Laptop, would be the best to buy? I plan on recording, and playing game's, I'd like it likethe Yogscast one's, virtually no lag in video's, good Frame's, Etc. There are so many to choose, and no one knows that I want this yet, Usually I never ask for much for my birthday, maybe just a small party with my friends, But this time I really want a better laptop, this one is ancient. I would just tell them, I'd like a Alienware Gaming Laptop, but there are so many Model's, and customization's, I just dont think they would understand what would be good, or bad, So they would just rather not deal with it, If you can provide me with a Link to a good Laptop, and maybe list a few omizations that are good to add, It would be very much appreciated. Alright, I know Alimeware is horrifically priced, But It's the only computer system that comes to mind when I think of Gaming Computer's, I just want it to be a Windows 7, That can handle game's like Day Z Mod, or Diablo 3, Minecraft, Pretty much every game, and still record. A Computer, Like I said, Near the Yogscast comouter's would be great, becuase in they're videos, I see No Lag, I have this Laptop as a School Computer, And just want a Computer to have fun on. If a Desktop is better, Then If you could Link me a good Desktop for all that I said, I would be very grateful.

Well, Like I said, I don't know how to build a Custom Computer, Or even what a Falcon Northwest is, If you can give me a link to that, That would be great, But I don't know how to make a Custom Computer. I hardly know what a good proccesor is....

If you want a "good" computer, build your own. All pre-built PC's either skimp on the GPU or CPU and focus the most into trash like 32GB of RAM or SSDs in RAID 0.

Here are the decent components you want.

CPU:
i5 2500(K) < Even one of these OC'd to 4.5Ghz will struggle with ArmA 2
i5 3570(K)
i7 2600(K)
i7 3770(K)

For a GPU, you could max out Diablo 3/MineCraft with a nVidia GTX 560 or higher. If you want to max out ArmA 2 then you'd probably need two GTX 680's in SLI or a single GTX 690.

For memory, everything after 16GB is pointless.

Buy an Asus, they are the top gaming branded laptops. Their better then alienware and are more affordable. If you think alienware is good because of its flashy lights. Your wrong. Even if price doesn't matter you can get the latest Asus G series that run any game Max even Arma 2. PS Mac's dont have a GPU they run off the MOBO hardware which is crap. Also you don't need 2 GTX to run Arma 2. 1 560 will run it just fine.

I would say th m18x bec you get a huge screen and tht thing takes 3 graphix cards and 3 HDD's and they overclick intel i7 for you you just customize it on their site.

Either A) Get an alienware desktop OR B) Build your own desktop, you can build one 5x better than alienware for only about $1000.
