Planet Minecraft

So I had some funk stuff going on with my Minecraft files, so I saved my save files and deleted them all. It turns out I forgot to paste all my save files first thought, and I took out the trash, woops

I have a recovery program running, but their are way too many files to look through, can someone tell me the path to the save folder?


The other problem is that once I re-downloaded Minecraft, I get this message every time I launch it:

You can't open the application Minecraft copy because it may be damaged or incomplete.

And then, I don't remember how, but once I managed to get in, but once I logged in it said I didn't have the game downloaded so it would let me play. Anyone know what I'm gonna have to redownload/delete?

Put saves, texturepacks, stats on your Desktop
delete WHOLE minecraft folder,
open Minecraft.app, click options -> force update,
then it should work again

minecraft is located here: Macintosh HD/Libary/Application Support/minecraft

I am having the same problem. I tried deleting my entire Minecraft folder. WIth all my files, and to my knowlledge I succeeded. However, now when I try to download it again I am prompted with " 'MInecraft' is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash." Please help.

Remove .minecraft (If you haven't) disable AVG or whatever you have, Open minecraft and hit force update, Problem solved =P

I'm having a similar problem only i have never had .minecraft folder why?

Yes. I've heard of this problem before, especially on older Macs.
Now that you have your /users/home/library/application support/minecraft folders deleted, you need to delete your minecraft.app and just re-download Minecraft. That's the only other thing that should work.
