Editing villager skins?

I found the villager skins, but I don't have a program to edit them with. If I use something like Paint, the brush would be too small. What program can I use?

Paint.net is a good free texture editor that you can use.

I also recommend paint.net (free) or photoshop (paid) or gimp (free).

You could get Photoshop for free if you get a torrent ^-^

Do you guys not understand? I cannot use those, the brush doesn't go to the size/shape of a Minecraft pixel.
