A single man. The fate of the city.

It was September 30th, 2064. It started in NYC- the new hub of everything on earth. A single man with a group of elite hackers backing him up hacked into every TV and radio station in the state of New York, putting out a threat worthy of the biggest terror plot in the history of earth. He had rigged implosive bombs throughout the state, causing the now skyscrapers that literally touched the sky, erm, the atmosphere, the millions of people just inside of the city- virtually everything in the city- to be totaled. Multi-trillion-dollar damages, millions of deaths, and something that could end up causing a shockwave, inspiring thousands of terrorists to rise up and plot their own attacks, and turn the world into a complete nuclear battlezone.

You are a New Yorker, as most people are these days after the flooding, at a rundown cafe in the alleys, with a group of friends. The cafe radio is playing, and then you hear it- the threat. It's a drizzly day. A very grim setting, very appropriate for the scenario that is about to take place. Your face turns pale. And you must make a decision- be brave, and stay in New York City, trying to find the man with the trigger who will destroy and send the world into havoc, or leave with a group and attempt to stop the inevitable terrorist plots, in whatever way you can. Oh, and while you're at it, slip "Skyscraper" into your everything else.

A final note about NYC, and what's happening on earth- All of the third world contries ran out of everything, and many, and I mean MANY people moved to the US. Millions. Especially in NYC, where there was space in the Atmosphere-scrapers, as it is. And then the great floods happened, making everything near and below sea-level underwater. "Still space in New York" was everyone's motto, so they went on large barges over to the US, making the population even smaller. As I'll note again, tell how your character got to New York- Were they living in a third world country, filled with terrorists and ravaged with war? Were they victims of the great flood, flushed out of native land? Or were they born and raised in the rich family/slums of New York? Make up the way that your character got to New York City in the backstory, then there is a large chance you'll be accepted, as long as your app is decent :3

Rules:
1~ No perfect characters, those never work out. In fact, I'd prefer if your character had more faults than triumphs.

2~ In your backstory, tell how your character got to NYC

3~ No Godmodding. This WILL get you banned from the roleplay.

4~ The objective is to try and see the trigger holder and stop him, while drama and catastrophe stands in your way. I will provide things that are happening in PURE BOLD to say what's going on in the city, you will know when something bad happens. I will also tell you in a post if the trigger holder is just wandering the streets; he will be one of the only people in a Suit and Tie.

5~ Romance IS allowed... but I don't see how you can fit it in with all this bad stuff happening :/

6~ If you are an experienced Roleplayer, please tell me any rules/application parts that I am missing, I'm sure I forgot something Also, this is my first RP that I have created, so keep hate to a minimum on the story/how it's being run. Just tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Name: Liyana Gudeldon (Li-Li is her nickname.)
Age: 21
Backstory: Her family name originating from Germany, her parents moved to NYC with little money. Liyana's mother died in her birthing. So, Liyana and her father lived on the streets. That was, until Li-Li's father got a job as a cubicle worker. Liyana's dad was in the building when the skyscraper exploded, and sadly, died. Li-Li has wanted revenge, but, she was a little too soft-souled to kill. Until now.
Skills: Running and self defense.
Weapon of Choice: A small knife.
Flaws: She can't swim, and she's afraid of hot coffee.

Backstory:Daniel was born and raised in a rich family in the city. He was walking past a cafe ten years later and heard something on the radio. He ignored it and kept moving. When he got his AKM he practiced with it all the time. He heard the radio again but this time he listened, he heard the end was near he tried to save many before the skyscraper exploded but it was too late. His family got rich off selling many things, like clothes food and water.
Skills: He is a really good shot
Weapon of Choice: when he is human his AKM.
Flaws: He is really afraid of fire.

Daniel found out when he was 18 he could change his shape aslong as he knew about the animal. He used this to his advantage and swam around in the water when he found parts of the flood.
Skills: He can become a fish an eagle and an elephant

Backstory: Sho had lived poor in Japan, so when his father was called for a job In NYC, he had no choice but to go with him. His mother had run away after his father got in trouble with the law after robbing a store for food.

Everything Else: When Sho first moved into an apartment in New York , he was amazed at the sights. He stared out the skyscaper window, and well, his hand slipped and he fell out. He landed on a fire escape, and now generally stays away from high edges.

Name: Joey Willer
Age (Don't be any older than 27 or younger than 18.): 21
Backstory: Joey was born in Texas. He also grew up there, with 2 younger brothers, and 3 younger sisters. He was the oldest. The closest one to him was 4 years behind. Joey, eager to get a job in NYC, decided to leave home to move into New York.
He told his parents. "No, no, no!" he said. He explained that he didn't want Joey to become a "drug addict" or a rapist. He said he'll be just fine. Still, he said no. So that night Joey left, without telling anyone. He only left a letter.
After a month of being in New York, Joey already had a job and lived in an apartment. He was doing just fine. But his father came and demanded that he came home. He refused, saying "I'm my own man now." his father, infuriated, drove back home.
While he was at a gas station, a gang was there. They told his father to give his money to him. He refused, and the gang pointed a gun at him. He still refused. They shot him, took his wallet, and ran away. Joey saw a news report about it, and nearly choked on his dinner. He finished it, then quickly ran to the crime scene. His father was dead.
He was mad, and sad at the same time. He never even told him goodbye, he thought. Now when he heard about this Skyscraper bombing, he knew he needed to take action.
Skills: He's good at distracting people, and he's also pretty convincing.
Weapon of Choice: He uses a gun, and says he has "good aim". He doesn't have good aim.
Flaws: Extremely unorganized, a screw up.

Backstory: When Mark was young he lived in the slums of NYC he was always building things or fixing things for money,food,tools,parts he was the odd one at his school when he was younger his mother died when he was 8 he never really got over it he won't talk about it but he will think about her every once in a while but as he got older and needed to make money besides just fixing things he got a job as a mecanic and grew to love fixing cars, but the garage he worked for closed down and bot a job at Skyscrapers inc. a construction company.
Skills: he can fix and make weapons and tools, he can also run very fast
Weapon of Choice: Wrench,knife
Flaws: He hates spiders,heights,firearms
