You pack everything up. And sneak out of your house (You can do it anyway you want) And say the words. A flash of different colored lightning happens then, you wake up in a grass field. Guardian S. directs you to a house, when a dark black mist covers the sky. You and S. get to the house safely where she tells you. That a war is coming and you need to train to stop it.

Training
Fairy catching: The bad people have bad fairies that can kill you with there poisonous dust. Fairies are immune to it.
Dragon Riding: A skill that takes time to master, there are different kinds of dragons. The fire dragons, The water dragons, The night dragons - Only available during night-, Etc. Etc.
Tail practice: Mermaids need to be fast enough to catch those pesky evil ones. They have to protect the water, or else everybody will be poisoned.
Hunting: Something that werewolves are good at. Catch your prey, sell 'em to the butcher, get some cash. Not a bad deal.
