Planet Minecraft

hey guys,
As soon as i have finished my entry to the latest build competition http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/ ... -update-1/ (thats it so far) i am starting work on my server. my idea is to make a survival factions server but with a very community based twist.. i plan on spending at least a month setting up a massive detailed medieval spawn city and several others dotted around.. the idea is to create a world much like what real medieval briton would have been like! I really want to create something that will make people stop and go wow i want to be a part of this!

I will run factions, economy (or something similar), some sort of jobs mod (i need to look into that further) and a few other mods (but i wont overload it). I will create a website with a donation page however donations will be strictly just for paying for a server host and website hosting costs and improving the server rather than lining my own pocket.

One thing i have noticed about servers is the way staff ranks seem to be given out way to readily to people who joined maybe a 2-3 weeks ago.. I beleive that to create a sucsessful server you have to be able to deligate but to a trusted few not giving staff ranks to everyone. I also beleive taht less low down ranks also benifits as there is less argueing over things like 'ive been here longer how come they have been ranked up' etc etc..

All the points i make above come from about 2 years experience in helping run servers and coowning one. the owners have had differnt ideas on how to run a server and tbh they have never worked out too great!. The name for my server will be 'Lemuria' which is named after the first server i ever played that shut down over a year a go...

well please let me know what you think to what i have said above and what you would like to see in a server! also if this sounds like something you would like to be a part of once it comes out feel free to sub and check it out once i have uploaded it..

But i can also be staff if you so choos for me to be
I am a admin on 10 different servers But most went down
I have been a Co-owner on 1 server
I am good with World Edit

I suck with plugins

One thing I would want to see on the server would be a creative world
You you have a server with both Survival Pvp Factions all that
And some people will be there for Creative like me

look guys listen please this is not an applications thread!!!!!! this is purley to find if people like the ideas!!!!! oooh finally some feedback yeh i was considering putting multiverse (or whatever its called) on and having a creative building world!

I would recommend putting putting cars mod, BACON MOD ,and helicopter mod. Thx for reading XD!!
