[Beta] ▚▚ Land War ▞▞ 100% custom event server!
Land War is a server unlike any other. Literally. Why, you ask? Because its framework and gameplay are custom-coded 100% by yours truly, the owner.

Land War is a completely autonomous server that manages and runs several different game types for players to participate in. When you log in, you'll be automatically assigned to a team and teleported to your spawn point where you can begin fighting and having fun. When the game is won and done, all players will be teleported back to the waiting room. After a brief intermission, the next game will be chosen, all players will be teleported to the new map, and the cycle will begin again.

There are currently 4 game types being randomly cycled through on the server:

Team Deathmatch - This is a simple enough event. Kill as many enemies as you can. The first team to reach the target score wins.[/*]

Capture the Flag - Run to the enemy's flag chest and retrieve their flag (a colored music disc). Then, run back to your spawn point to capture it. If killed, you'll drop the flag on the ground where it will remain until it automatically resets after 5 minutes. Capturing a flag earns your team a point. The first team to reach the target score wins.[/*]

Conquest - Similar to Team Deathmatch, but with a twist. Several large flags are placed around the map, and can be captured by punching their pole repeatedly until your color flys at the top. Every second, the team that controls the most flags earns a point. The first team to reach the target score wins.[/*]

Assault - An attack/defend game. The attackers must storm the enemy's position and break several redstone ores to win. The defenders must hold off the attackers' push and deplete their reinforcement count to win.[/*]
Land War also has its own slew of (mostly) original maps:

Standoff: Two massive, opposing castles stalemate each other across a narrow river and field. Large-scale, mid and long-range engagements over natural terrain. Plays for Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, and Conquest

Conflict: The city tried grow into the forest, but the forest fought back. Close to mid-range duels on intricate and complex terrain. There are always multiple ways to get where you're going, so always watch your back. Plays for Capture the Flag and Team Deathmatch

Arbor: The small outposts that fought here long ago have long been consumed by the forest that separated them. A central road connects the two, but the maze of a forest permits much more stealthy movement. Close range engagements in the woods, with the occasional long fire-line for snipers. Plays for Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, and Conquest.

Paradiso: When this island villa was built, it was never designed to become a stronghold. Now it functions as a highly defensible naval base for the King's navy. Close quarters battle in the streets, with long range battles outside. Plays for Assault and Team Deathmatch.

Corruption: This small village is all that remains of a peaceful province overrun by a deadly corruption. The highly defensible position affords only one route of attack for hostile forces. Plenty of vantage points for archers to fire from, as well as an abundance of small corners to ambush from. Plays for Assault.

Styx: The river of the damned from Greek mythology, which all dead souls must cross to reach the underworld. Two twisted bases separated by a river of lava with numerous crossing points. Large, flat terrain favors long-ranged combat. Plays for Team Deathmatch and Conquest.

Frostbite: Nobody quite knows where this facility came from or what its purpose was. In any event, it has become completely frozen over from years of neglect. Slippery footing makes combat difficult, and plenty of vantage points exist for archers to capitalize on this. Plays for Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, and Conquest.
In addition to normal gameplay, you will also see several kit selection signs. These are fairly self-explanatory: right click on the sign to take the combat kit displayed. The only kits available currently are the archer, soldier, and swordsman kits, but we plan to make more available eventually.
Finally, there are a few basic commands that every player should know:

/rules - This command will display a brief description of the current game's rules.[/*]

/game - The command will display the current game's score, and any additional info specific to the game type.[/*]

/stats [player] - Currently keeps track of ELO skill, kills, deaths, wins, and losses.[/*]

/swap - This command will switch your team if the other team has less players.[/*]
And finally, remember that this server is ALWAYS more fun when there are more people online. Remember to bring friends, acquaintances, and even enemies (you get to kill them a lot :3) and help spread the word
