Is it possible to use a (CraftBukkit) plugin for 1.2.5 on a 1.3.1 CraftBukkit server?
If so, how would you do it?

There are many good plugins which have not been updated... :(

Thanks

Nope, the plugins need to be updated to the latest Bukkit version in order to work, sorry.

Ok, I'll try and see, but only if it's absolutely necessary (the plugin is too awesome)!
Thanks

Most won't work actually and all plugins for 1.3.1 still work for 1.3.2 because anything past the third decimal is compatible with its last version

Your wrong. Most plugins do work if you know how to config them. I am able to use ALL of my plugins from 1.2.5 with NO errors you just need to be good with plugins and know what your doing. Hope this helps to let you know that most if not all will work if you know how to config it right.

? o.O in most cases a minecraft update won't change the way how you have to configurate plugins and if the plugins just use the bukkit api you'll be able to use them in a new version of bukkit/minecraft without waiting for an update (of the plugin).

Is there a particular line of code that I need to fix?
And today I tried the RedstoneChips plugin (for 1.2.5) on my server and it seems to work... At least I can log in, I haven't tried with anyone else! :D
Thanks.
