How do I give diamonds? Please help!

I am really new and I really want to know how to give diamonds because there's a few posts I really like and want to show my appreciation. This may sound stupid but I don't know how...so please awnser! :)

When you go to a mod, texture pack etc. page, at the top there will be the title and then it will have the diamond count to the left of it. Move your mouse over the diamond and click it.

There is a diamond button on top, click on it, and it will be diamonded.

if the diamond on the top is grey u didnt diamond it is it is blue u did
