Story
Nearly 5 centuries ago Sevet the Whisperer founded the Mage's College with his diminutive fellowship of magic users. With their divine power they had laid the stone, mortared the walls, built it's defences, and all in all, created a landmark that men would sing songs about. Since it's creation it has been accepting the fresh-faced and new mages of the world. With staff who had trained in the many schools of magic, the college quickly became the first choice for those willing to walk the path of the magician.
However a threat has risen from the arid eastern cliffs, and the dense forests of the south. Tribes of barbarians, warrior women, bandits, and other ungodly creatures have begun to move their camps nearer and nearer to the college. Fearing an attack, the seldom seen masters of the college have closed the gates, and begun to train their students in the study of fine combat.
In these troubling times, the finest mages, necromancers, druids, and wizards shall be needed and called upon to save this great institution.

The Schools of Magic
There are many different paths a budding magician may take. Fire, ice, darkness, light, earth, air, these are all elements one may learn to master. Without further a do, here are the schools your character may specialize in.
The Amber School
Those specializing in the Amber School would learn to harness the great power held within the flame. As an amber wizard you are the master of the flame, able to scotch a foe into a fine ash, should you be experienced enough that is.
The Amethyst School
As a student of the Amethyst you have been taught the usefulness of the shadow and death. By calling upon those past, and the darkness around you, an amethyst wizard will use the relentless force of the night to beat his enemies into submission.
The Golden School
Taught in the holy company of a golden priest, you are the herald of the Lord of Light. With divine power you can call upon your deity to smite foes with pure will, or heal thine allies with the mercy of your almighty master.
The Crystal School
Those taught by the master of the Crystal school have become one with water, ice, snow, and storm. With either a passionate grace, or a devastating fury you can rupture your foe's will and spirit amidst a gale of ice and water.
The Jade School
The men and women of the Jade School practise their skills around the many forms of life that exist alongside us. Your skills are more focused on healing and growth, though, certain individuals have transformed their mastery to control pestilence, disease, and miasma.
The Ruby School
One of the more recent school of magic focuses on summoning, particularly the summoning of creatures from other worlds. Since it's inclusion there has been many conflicts between it and the Golden School. The Golden Masters declared the act blasphemous and evil, which truly, isn't far from the mark.
