How to get staff/op on any server

Step 1: Find a server you like.
Step 2: Get known there, make friends with staff and other people.
Step 3: Stay on that server for 2-4 weeks.
Step 4: Finally say to the owner: Hello, please dont ban me, but is there any open staff positions? Im just asking because i want to offer help. if there areant any positions open, ill try again later.
