The point I'm making is that I'm terribly bad at sticking to one thing, so I think I'll just skip all introduction ^^;
I'd say no hate, trolling or NSFW posts, but so far, I haven't seen a thing. Thanks for that ^^

[size=85]"Not everyone who is into anthropomorphics is a furry, and just because something is anthropomorphic does not make it furry, however, since the term itself has so many different meanings to so many different people. Here's a general Idea of what it means to some of the people who call themselves 'furry'.
Furry fandom is a category (or sub-genre) of fantasy dedicated to anthropomorphics: fictional animal characters given human personalities and characteristics. It originated as a fusion of science fiction, comic book, and animation fandom during the 1980s. Furries are an extremely diverse group and no one furry may possess all, or any, of he traits typically associated with the group;
Furries can range from people who are fans of old Warner Bros. and Disney cartoons; people who enjoy portraying anthropomorphic animals in art; people who enjoy imagining what a future, past or alternative world might be like if humans were replaced with or accompanied by anthropomorphic animals; and people who like wearing costume tails, ears and/or animal mascot costumes. Many furries are people who have a great deal of respect for animal welfare.
Amateur to professional artists, writers, and publishers who produce drawings, paintings, stories, independent comic books, fanzines, Web sites and even small press books. Fans with craft skills put together their own stuffed plush furry toys, sometimes referred to as plushies, or build elaborate furry costumes called fursuits (with features such as ears, fur, long tails, moving jaws, and even animatronics) and dress up in them for fun, or to participate in convention masquerades, dances or fund raising charity events.
Charitable works are a tradition in furry fandom; many conventions feature an auction or fundraising event with the proceeds often going to an animal-related charity. Over the past 5 years, the organizers of Anthrocon, the worlds biggest furry convention, have raised over $100,000 for animal rescue organizations and animal therapy groups.
Furry is considered by some outside the fandom to be a fetish. While it's true that some people within the fandom choose to take elements of the fandom and fetishize them, this is generally harmless and falls well within the normal range of human behavior when compared to many of the less than harmless fetishes humans have been known to indulge in. Just because some people choose to fetishize it does NOT make it a fetish, however. "

(The bottom is from my original, first post)
There are plenty of people that are into anthro art and even some folks into wearing fursuits (something not every furry is into;Fursuits wearers are actually a rather tiny fraction of the furry community. 1%? Something like that) who don't consider themselves 'furry'. Like many labels, it's really something that someone can only decide for themselves. Some folks even consider furry to be a lifestyle due to just how much of their life revolves around the fandom.
Furries are just like anyone else. They have likes, dislikes, are creative, can be judgemental, can be tolerant, as well as dramatic. Furries seem to be especially known for this last bit, but the fact is, life IS drama..I guess we just have our own particular flavor of it.
I love being in the fandom. It's not always full of happy fun people, and too many of us can be incredibly thin skinned, especially when it comes to admitting to ones self that it IS a pretty goofy, weird and sometimes frightening thing to be..but then, so is being human. I've met so many wonderfull people because of this fandom, If it weren't for the fandom and I certainly would live a rather boring life and wouldn't have made some of the amazing friends i've made.

Update: I recently invited members (http://www.ozzyfurocity.net/topic/1690-furry-furhub-pmc/) of the Ozzy Furocity Steam Group (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/OzFur) to come by if interested, so if we're lucky, we'll see some new faces around here.
