Serina was surprised at his words.
"Sorry, I just.. I don't know. I know that you have suffered that pain. You are too good of a person to suffer that kind of pain. I don't know that kind of hurt but I understand the loss of someone you love."
She crossed her arms. Her stubbornness was atrocious.
"I. Ain't. Leaving."

"Have you killed? Do you know what it's like to take a life? An actual, human, life. Girly... keep sticking with me and you'll end up six feet under."
Richard was still speaking with that monotonous tone.
"Girly. I. Want. You. To. Leave. I don't want you gettin' hurt 'cause of me."

Serina stood there stubbornly.
"I. Am. Not. Leaving. You."
She put her hand on her hip.
"I do recall the Battle of Manhattan. It was very sad to lose all those people from camp. I wasn't claimed yet then, though I didn't side with Luke. I was with Travis at the Brooklyn Bridge. I had to fight the turned Demigods and I did have to kill some of them. It was terrible and I felt more sorrow for them than I ever had before. So to answer both questions, I have killed, and I know what it feels like to take lives."
Serina was recollecting that horrible day. So many bodies. Friends and foes alike. She shook her head.
"I. Can. Not. Leave."

Richard just stared into the void.
"No girly..."
Richard collapsed. His emotionless face now in that of shock. As if he had seen a ghost. His head filled with only one memory. That night. He had remembered going to the funeral, and whispering to himself.
"She's not dead. She can't be."
He mumbled to himself.

"Richie!"
Serina knelt beside him. She heard his words and remembered thinking them when she had found her mother dead. She poked him with each sentence.
"Oh no, mister! You're not gonna do that to me now! C'mon, stand up! You need to see the restaurant! Get up!"
Serina almost started panicking. She shook Richard.
"C'mon! Stand up, Richie! Don't do this to me!"

Richard's mind was... 'gone'. For now at least. He was in a state of shock. The reality of it all hit him. And hard. His heart rate spiked, and then slowed. His pupils wouldn't respond. His breathing was heavy and slow.

"I'm going to get help!"
Serina quickly ran to the restaurant despite the fact she didn't want to leave Richard like that. She quickly pulled the Apollo Twins and an older Apollo camper, going towards Richard's house. She shouted across the restaurant so that everyone could hear,
"Richard's in trouble!!! HELP ME!!!"
She dragged the three people to Richard's house as fast as possible. The older Apollo kid grabbed the jug of Nectar from the table as she dragged him into the cellar.
"Richie! I brought help! Don't die on me!"
She yelled at the twins and the older kid,
"HELP HIM NOW!!!!"

Richard's mouth was pried shut. His eyes stared at Serina and he shook his head, no. He was back to 'normal'. But continued lying there. His eyes returning to their emotionless state.

Jake heard the word help and froze. A nano second later he had followed the group inside a house and when he reached them he looked at the guy on the floor who looked a like a f***ed up chipmunk. "What the hell?" He said looking at the guy on the floor. His mother had been a Doctor and she taught him many first aid on the spot stuff bullsh*t he could remember perfectly. "Is he...." He trailed off and walked into the room.
