Planet Minecraft

i have watched the videos on you tube of how to mod but they never seem to help. i want to start off with something simple like being able to make a iron sword from a stick and single iron ingot, seems easy enough. every time i try it, it never works. any help?

Improve the world one non-programmer at a time through a long and tedious set of break-ins... populated with a lot of "No no, you didn't declare that variable globally, so it's not being recognised *BANG*" and "Look, there's no escape clause so that loop is infinite *BANG*".

I still say they should teach HTML as a requirement in modern high schools.
It's not that hard to understand, and teaching children HTML is really hard to screw up. The school might actually do something right!

I'm with you there, but I take it a bit further.... I think that the compulsory ICT lessons (at least they're compulsory in England, I'm not sure about elsewhere) shouldn't be "And this is how you use Word and Powerpoint" they should teach basic HTML, basic functionality of computers and a simple object oriented language (because they seem to be the most popular at the moment)...
Nothing too complex, nothing life changing, but enough that they have a tiny bit of respect for their hard/software.]
You're right though; at minimum all high-school students should have to do a course in HTML, it's THE easiest language to learn...

First learn java. Then download MCP and then Eclipse. Set it up. And start.
