How does one add a sound to their mob?

I wrote this for when it gets hurt "mob.endermen.scream1" but when I hurt it it makes no noise and it only comes after me. *It only comes after me when I hurt it because I was in creative.*

Do I need to add .ogg to the end?

It's been awhile since I modded sound, but I'm pretty sure you need to have mob.enderman.scream1.ogg

The mob still makes no noise. And it wouldn't be "enderman" because the resource folder for the mob is called "endermen"

Woops, I meant endermen. I think you need a sound mod enabler, if my memory serves me correctly.

I search sound mod enabler and its for an old version of Minecraft. And the mod I'm making doesn't change any files it uses an already existing minecraft sound file.

*The sound enabler thing if for making changes to the .ogg sound files....or atleast the one I found.*

There's one made by the creator of ModLoader, and another one I used in my Jurassic Park mod (too lazy to go find a link, anyways)

Sorry, got the link: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/754 ... g-updated/

AudioMod 1.2.5
AudioMod is an upgrade of sorts, and a modder's utility. Included in this mod is CodecIBXM, created by Paul at www.paulscode.com , who is the creator of the sound system used in Minecraft. It allows Minecraft to play (in addition to ogg, wav, and mus files), xm, s3m, and mod files. The only readily available feature of this mod is the ability to add new music, however, it adds support for modders to add new records and sound effects. There is a slight increase in load time when using this mod. Using this, you can also use custom sounds, alongside the originals. Custom music and sound goes into the resources folder, music in mod/music. Custom sounds go into mod/sound. For example, if I were to add a new footstep sound effect to stone, I'd put the new stone1.ogg in mod/sound/step. In game, the new sound would occasionally be played, alongside the originals. Custom sounds for things like the menu click and water do not always work, at the moment.

Well I found a 1.2.5 version but its not by Risugami and its the same thing: For changing the sound files for Minecraft.Like when making a Sound Pack.

Also Risugami doesn't have a sound enabler mod on his mods thread...

EDIT: Oh AudioMod.......I'll re-decompile MCP and do that and see if it works.
