PermalinkI am creating a concept that I hope someone can turn into something more physical. The concept of cache mining is similar to strip mining, but, lacks some things.
Cache Mining-
-Everything has to be approached in a minimalist manner
-There has to be a storage that will hold approximately all the blocks in that chunk
-The objective is to mine and storage every block from an entire chunk
-Lava must be turned into obsidian
-Water simply has to be cleaned up and doesn't have to be stored
-The method used to do this must be the fastest method possible
-The only thing left should be the storage and it should be easily accessible
Those who contribute, I will use your method and give criticism based on what happened. I will actually be mining entire chunks. Those who have an interest in this, please say so. This is not necessarily hording. I will make these to give people an idea of the amount of time put into making a project, simply by showing how much material is taken when putting some of my creations together. Other people might have other reasons. I also think its fun to leave a massive chunk of ground just missing completely.
