Hey, (sry for screen of text)

Computer AMD Athlon dual core 3ghz 4gb ram Nvidia 9600gt card running WINDOWS XP

Minecraft vers 1.2.5

Every other program/game/windows works fine.

Minecraft was running fine before I did a rebuild of my XP. Now, when I run it, it runs fine for
about a minute or two, then it just starts jamming up, and runs at 0 fps. It pauses for 10-30 secs,
then it has an update (ie sheep move, I can move a tiny amount) then it freezes again.

I've gone through the optimization guide on MC forum but it doesn't help. I updated Java to the latest,
I've tried reducing all the video settings but it has no effect so it's not a matter of
video settings. Something in the game is locking up, but giving no errors.
This is the second install of Minecraft since rebuilding, as the first one had NO SOUND.

The sound issue is fixed but the game is unplayable. It ran fine with No Sound, but
I'm damned if I know what's causing it. There are no virus's or spyware on the system,
it's been scanned after the rebuild (complete with format).

Anyone have any ideas? I've been using MC now for over 2 years n most problems are
easily solveable but this one has me scratching my head. Especially since the system
has been rebuilt.

I thought it might be a mob issue on my world as it was better on peaceful and
other worlds worked ok for awhile, but I started a new world and the same issue
started after 10 mins. I am at a total loss to the cause, every other program game
works fine.

Does anyone know how to fix a world????
