Stormy Weather.

Rain the only thing that can wipe your mind of every bad memory or feeling.
It has the keys to thoughts you can never access by yourself it cleans your soul and leaves you calm. It can make you do crazy things that you would never think of doing. It causes life death and beauty it can harm heal or save a life. It sparks creativity and makes art on its own.

It causes me to leave. I enter the forest and walk for hours on end barely thinking.
All I can concentrate on is the beauty and creativity it brings to mind. The darkness of the clouds causes the trees to come to life it gives me comfort. It makes me want to stay in the forest but one thing sends me home.The rain stops and the dark clouds clear and every horrible memory and thought comes rushing back. I have found comfort in the very uncomfortable weather. And I don't know why.

In 1918, when The Great War seemed to be finally winding down,
the United States, after twelve years in isolation, announced that
they were entering the war. This announcement came after a liner,
the Golden Harp, was sunk by a German U-Boat off the coast of
New York. When the first US troops arrived on the western front,
they did not come alone. Accompanying them, a vast army of steam
powered automatons, massive airships, pneumatic firearms, and many
other technologies never before seen. Though with all this technology,
the German armies still held out until the 11th of November of that year.
After a peace treaty was signed, ending the war, many countries wanted
a piece of the US's technologies. Over the course of
the next twenty years, the world changed forever. Cities, built atop of great
balloons, floated into the skies above all major cities of the world. Commerce
increased greatly, and as such, The Great Depression was averted. The British
Empire expanded greatly, and in the years to come, would become the biggest
authority in this new sky world. Rather than Hitler becoming the German leader
and WW2 occurring, he was assassinated while imprisoned after his failed Beer
Hall Putsch. A man by the name of Hans Stuurgeltz took his place, abolishing the
Nazi party, and forming the Free German Peoples Party. He took power after the
Kaiser died and lead Germany into a new golden age. The current year is 1951, and
a different war has broken out. The British Empire is facing a ruthless group of pirates called the Sky Reapers. Welcome to the new world.

As for my own stories, I too have not written in a while. I do have many plots in my head.

I have aspirations to finish Shadows in the Forest and Tower of Woes. I have plot ideas for SitF but not ToW.
