Hey Everyone
Tatrin here.
I was watching some Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 Multiplayer and Campain gameplay and I was wondering....

What Would Your FPS look like?

You can show through small pictures and descriptions, or a big picture or description, or ANYTHING!
Design the HUD, KillStreaks, Weapons, ANYTHING!
When I get the time, I'll make some outlines for gun design+stats, HUD set-up, ect
Maybe we'll get a team of coders together...
and
Show the World!

I'd structure it like the Battlefield series.
Huge maps, a ton of vehicles/weapons, and as realistic as possible without taking the fun out of it.

it'd be a guy you make running around.

you'd have pistol, shotgun, uzi, crocket launcher, shovel and pissing on stuff

and have a car that explodes with a touch of a button but only expels you forward with the force of 18 monster trucks on roids.

I'm quite the opposite, I'm all for ridiculous joke weapons, insane super powers etc. etc. but not to the point of everybody being OP. What I like in an FPS is originality, and you don't really see that all too often.

But I do agree, you need an insane amount of vehicles and giant maps for the added experience. And you also need new and unique game modes.

EDIT: You also need awesome character customisation.

Ahh yes. That'll be a little more challenging, but I'll go for it.

I would have it post apocolyptic on a free roam area (like Fallout) but you have just to kill people. You do jobs for gangs, they help you. Sort of an rpgfps. So you have real modern day style but buildings collapsed, landmines and that stuff; an open world fps with customisability. There is an ending and two different maps, each with an entirely different story line. There is a multiplayer option but it cuts a random parts from either map so you can get a better experience of multiplayer. There would be lots of enemies through out. There would be vendors and all that. There would be vehicles which would be: planes, cars, boats, submarines and bikes (both motor and cycling). You can hotwire and that, depending on what class you are (you choose a class and you have two other classes working with you (and can turn depending on your actions as they will have a randomised personality)) and how you have learnt and what level you are. Every time you level up you can get more ammo, a new weapon, more armour or a special ability or skill.

I know fallen earth, it isn't that great and not exactly that. I want it more single player fallout style (so CoD meets fallout) with the option of multiplayer, either splitscreen or online.

I'm considering making one using UDK, but my idea is that it will play like halo. Rediculous jumping and enemy AI, but instead of power weapons, you get different Magik abilities. It'd probably be free-roam, although for a game like that, maybe a structure like TF2 might work.


Anyway, Magik ablilties- Fire, earth, wind, etc, and lots of character customisation. Probably melee weapons as well, but they're not as powerful as Magik, meaning olny when your out of Mana/In a tight situation.

I'm actually making my own FPS with cryengine and coding right now. It's a realistic shooter with 3 weapons right now, I will add more. I have two vehicles, a boat and a HUMVEE

M16A3 (Rifle)
L96 (Sniper-Rifle)
G17C (Pistol

It won't have any minimap, or HUD. You will have like "T" to check how many bullets you have left. "R" for reloading. WASD for moving and F to slide while running, you run with LSHIFT. I'm even working on a cover system, but it's not going very well for me. I have just finished my slide, just need a better animation for it. I have finished ONE map and it's "quite" big and you fight on two islands, each island have one flag and beetwhen the islands there is a small island with another flag on it. Have you ever played conquest on Battlefield3? It's like that. You will have to use boats to travel, you can swim/walk too. A sniper can take you out in one bullet in the chest and head, while a pistol can you in three and a M16A3 in two bullets in head or chest. If you're good at textures, I would love someone to make textures and models, I'm not the best at making guns, that why I had to "download" them and insert them, but I would love some original things, to make all of it more professiona, I won't spoil alot, but in the future I may upload it here to show it with some pictures later. Stay tuned for this game, because I have worked on it for six months right now. :D
