PermalinkNow, the title says I'm quitting,though I mean playing on servers, as I run my own server. I will still check up on my server, but I will be mostly quitting MP all together. So here's the story.
I find this server called "CrazyCraft" while browsing through the server list. It seems alright, and considering I HATE pvp servers normally, that was a pretty big compliment. As I read the server description, it says at one part, "Starter Kits Include DIAMONDS!!!". Now, that is exact text copied from the description. I ask the server why was this description misleading me,and instead of a polite answer, I am bombarded with hate, such as "boohoo you didn't get diamonds", and "shut up fag". Now, me and my grammar-nazi'ing self had to do something about the spelling mistakes. I corrected one player, and he instantly goes all "wooow your gay omg rly". I ask him how old he is, and he claims he is 22, and that he graduated from Duke University. I could easily tell that was a big lie, so I say "If you are 22, and graduated from Duke, don't you think you would use better grammar?". I never got a straight forward answer, instead the so-called Duke graduate says "oh yea well u are like 30 and are a virgin and have no p***s". The immaturity on this server was running high, and when I asked "Could we all be a little more mature?", the player starts insulting me again. Even worse, there were three admins online, who didn't even say a word.
In conclusion to this rant, this is a prime example of why the minecraft community seems to be going downhill.
