Sometimes, we all need a little general help.

I just downloaded MCPatcher and ran it for a new texture pack, but now I cannot load the texture pack. When I click on it, it just selects the default texture pack.

I'm using the following Mods:

Optifine 1.2.5
HD Textures
Better Grass
Random Mobs
Custom Colors
Connected Textures

It seems that for some reason optifine is corrupting it...

Hi!
I'm using MCPatcher, too, but I only use it for mods. I recommend this to you. Use it only for mods, because MCPatcher patches the minecraft.jar, not the texturepacks folder.
So do this:
Open the .minecraft folder and the texturepacks folder in it. Place your texturepack's zip or rar file into it. Then, open Minecraft. This should be work. :)

I think I've found that you dont need HD Textures or HD Fonts.

Optifine does everything MCPatcher does and more

Thats why your game is crashing.

It should work though if you patch minecraft with MCPatcher without the stuff Optifine already adds.

Go into MCPatcher, don't install ANY mods. Uncheck EVERYTHING, then add Optifine to the MCPatcher list and check EVERYTHING. Installing it this way will get all the benefits of Optifine. Anything that optifine doesn't have, you will get from the MCPatcher, and it won't crash.

If you want any more help just ask.

Thanks guys, but I've already fixed it. HD Font and HD Textures don't work with Optifine.
(I need optifine for system performance)
