Not intended to call out any mods/users, question mods' judgments, go against/question the rules, or anything thereof.

So just recently one of my PMC friends, who was a mod up til recently, was demoted without any prior discussion with them (my friend) until after they were demoted. And one of the reasons why they were demoted in the first place was b/c other mods had thought they (my friend) didn't want to be a mod any more, which wasn't the case at all.

So my theory to prevent this kind of possibility, or at least to lower the chances of things such as this, is to have a public questionnaire for people who are being considered being promoted/demoted, and even for others (mod or not) to fill out one for someone they feel like should be a mod. Now given, the person couldn't suggest themselves and could not fill out any questionnaires if they were being considered for a promotion/demotion.

To put in other words, the way the moderating system works, I feel, is too heavily dependent on how the mods view someone's publicity in the chat room. I understand that it's going to end up being a popularity contest if it were just a posted thing on the site, and with that I will elaborate a little more.

Basically to prevent people from just going to a link on the site for doing all this, they'd have to talk to someone like Paril (one of the mods) or even better yet, message Cyprezz about it some how to request the form which would be a one time access for the person who has been sent the questionnaire for suggesting someone for promotion/demotion.

As for when the mods feel like someone deserves a promotion/demotion (either through suggestion or discussion with other mods) could have a program that randomly selects different users who are not mods themselves but are still often seen in chat daily, weekly, or whenever.

All in all, I only feel like the public should be more capable of being able to help out with this whole process with the questionnaires to help ensure proper mod-ship and a better community chat. Also, if I did not make it clear enough, mods would still be able to discuss and review these topics and have the final say in this stuff, but they would still need to send out the questionnaires before doing any promoting/demoting.

In fact, when they were to go and do so, the site would automatically send out the questionnaires when mods go to promote/demote someone.

And again, before any mod deletes this post, please read what's at the beginning of the post.

Also, I only am sharing this idea as a consideration, not as a have to. I also wanted to put this idea out there as a possible solution if mods are unable to have a unanimous vote over a matter such as this.

He's not talking about himself, he's truly talking about his friend, and all of that is true.
