Question about recording with mic or headset?

Hey I am going to start to make minecraft videos on YouTube soon! I will make a list of all my questions.
1. Should I use the blue snowball I already have or buy a headset?
2. If I use the blue snowball, should I buy gaming headphones or just use my beats to listen.
3. When I am making my videos should I talk while playing minecraft or should I just record the gameplay and then talk after and then combine them at the end.??

Your using a Mac for gaming? Wow they said my computer was bad....

Griffin.... Youtube and twitch is a expensive hobby... Get a good editor and recording software... its best for it

Do whatever you feel like it really... I have been doing youtube for a few years now and i still use the microphone i have for the past 1 and a half years... Also if you do a smp type thing talk during recording and if your doing a montage, timelapse, or a tuturial its best if you record it then use a software like odassity to record your audio... Also what software do you use to edit and record...

I use odassity for editing and I use QuickTime player for recording because I have a Mac and it is free!!

Griffin... Depends whats your budget??? I would buy a snowball with a boom arm and popfilter... Its $60ish and its what i used... For about $30 i recommend the Logitech G230 Headset... Its good quality and also the best for the buck...

Because for hearing purposes you need a headset... Say for editing and stuff like that... If you dont get the microphone use the headset its less quality but cheaper... I would recommend the snowball or any condenser microphone...
