Is .rar okay?

I am about to upload a world save, would it still be simple for downloaders if I were to compress my map into a .rar file rather than .zip considering they are both compressed file types?

(bagi saya) For me, .rar, .zip, .7z extension is same okay. I most often use .zip to compress My Project Map. Then, I upload it to Mediafire. Then, I create to Planet Minecraft. Then, I share My Submission to Facebook, Twitter, Google, Blog, and probably on Kaskus (with Member SigCard Only)

Yeah .zip is better. While .rar works fine, lots of people need to download an additional program to uncompress it.

Really, while RAR is nice, it will be more accessible to the general public if you zip it; most operating systems, hell, even Chrome Operating System, recognizes .zip files automatically, rather than having to install a program such as winRAR. While it may seem logical to assume most people would have winRAR, it is, from a safer standpoint, better to go with .zip since almost everyone has that by default.
