Wouldn't it be cool to add a diamond to someone's forum post? because I make banner ads for people, and it still says I am a new miner, it just think it would be cool to get ranks from posts people make on the forums.

EDIT: You would not get EXP just from posting, it would only be from getting a diamond, and you wouldn't be able to diamond a reply to a post, just a TOPIC you post.

why? I honestly don't know. If somone else adds a diamond to my post, its the same as adding one to a texture pack....

Because then people would spam the hell out of forums in order to earn XP.

It's a bad idea to be able to diamond someone's forum post in my opinion, because it doesn't give people an incentive to make good content for the site.

You can only level up by posting blogs, skins, texture packs etc. Anyway the last thing PMC needs is another resource consuming system, it goes down enough as it is.

And you cant already do that for skins/texture packs/servers? Plus I am making good content for the site, I am making avatars and banners for people at request. And you would only get exp for getting diamonds.

People can already spam, this would just increase the amount of spam really. People would just post in random threads for the sake of posting and not actually giving valid contribution.

To confirm, I'm talking about leveling up by posting. A diamond system seems a bit unnecessary. No doubt Cyprezz would rather have good site content.

But perhaps a reputation or karma system might work in it's place. Something that doesn't reward someone directly, but gives people a heads up on what a user is like.

Like I said above, you WOULD NOT get exp just from posting, only from people that diamond your post. It would not increase spam, it would lower it on texture packs and skins, only some of the people would move over to it, spreading out the spammers to a larger area. Adding it would not magically generate new spammers.

EDIT: Not to mention you cannot duplicate someone's writing style, and get away with it as easily as just changing a skin.(Although you could just change their words, but that would be the same thing anyways)

It wasn't a fight to begin with. You made a thread about it. I simply delivered my opinion, but you happen to be too unreasonable to take it into account.

And I stopped posting because it was a lost cause having this pedantic discussion.
