Revamp the Horsemen of Apocalypse
I think the four horsemen should not all be skeletons. It is too bland and out of character. They should four different mobs. The horsemen, by name, are Death, Famine, War, and Conquest. Death should be a skeleton riding a skeleton horse, because skeletons are the symbol of death. Famine should be a zombie riding a zombie horse because zombies symbolize destruction more than death, and that perfectly characterizes Famine. Conquest should be an Enderman riding some sort of enderhorse (I know it doesn't exist, but It would be cool. It could jump higher and have longer legs, etc.). This would work in character because the Endermen had a world of their own in The End, but tried invading the human world, characterizing Conquest. Finally, I think war should be a hostile villager riding a black horse. This would be because in the real world, human history is defined by wars. Every country has either been created by or defined by wars, and it would fit with how humans are. Sorry for creating this block of text. It just came to my mind and I had to get it out.

I like this idea. It seems very detailed and thought out. But I think for the War mob, if it is to be human, Minecraft could introduce a hostile human mob that maybe have their own structures like villagers.
