A detective finds a man in an apartment with a gun in his hand and a bullet in his head sitting on a chair, next to the man is a tape recorder. The detective presses the play button on the tape recorder and hears the man saying that he is going to kill him self soon follows is a load bang then the recording stops. As soon as the detective hears this he knows that the man was murdered.

It didn't take a long time. And be real. Well, for the answer you CAN get, be real.

They went crazy and killed themselves not each other

Frostbite, someone murdered them and the snow covered their tracks, they just refused to drink, the water froze, a wolf came in and killed them, they fell off the mountain, they froze to death, so many possibilities. Riddles need to really only have 1 or 2 possible answers...
