My name is Sean (DocFox) and I am looking for a partner to aid in the planning, production, and maintenance of a new Minecraft server. My friend Jay (saske171) and I built a server back in 2011 (a literal server computer which we planted in a server hosting facility in NJ) and had relative success in its operation. We earned a little over $3400 in donations over time and we averaged 40 players concurrently during peak hours. During my graduation year in college, Jay and I made the decision to shut Grudge of Mine down and go on a two-year adventure out to Colorado.
We did.
Since then, I have moved back to New Jersey, gotten married, started a new career, and my wife and I are now working towards growing our family. How does Minecraft fit into this equation? I believe that Minecraft is an exceptional tool for fun, learning, and social networking and I want to create a server that will serve as a fun, safe place where every player feels genuinely important, welcomed and able to be themselves and feel encouraged to invite their friends - a place that isn't MC Realms where I would want my own kids to play.
With the right business partner, this vision can become a reality.
The ideal candidate will have:
> Exceptional communication skills
> Well-honed creative abilities
> Experience with Bukkit plugin creation
> Experience with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
> Experience with YouTube video creation
> Experience with Buycraft or other Minecraft donation systems
