Server Opening Events - Drop Party & Free For All July 11th

This Saturday July 11th at 6:30 PM Eastern (11:30 PM GMT) I'm going to be hosting events on my new server - Patriotic Factions

We just opened this week and to help generate a bigger playerbase, we're hosting events this saturday!
We're starting with a Free For All PvP event, where everyone will be teleported into an arena with the same gear and chance to win. The last survivor gets the prize on the main faction server!
Afterwards a drop party will be hosted in the main world.
Until then, enjoy what we have to offer on the server! Here's our description!

Hi I'm CollegeDropout, I'm 17 years old and have been playing on and working with Minecraft servers since around 13.
Our server, Patriotic Factions just opened today- June 30th 2015. I know factions may be overplayed, but I've set this server up to exactly what I perceive as perfect. As with all fresh servers, the only problem is getting it off the ground!
I've setup our plugins in a way that optimizes gameplay. Fun and forgiving, but not overpowered, like so many servers today.
You start off on Patriotic with a set of iron armor & tools along with a fishing rod, a bow and arrows, basic survival supplies, and farming items. Farming is a great way to start off and make some fast cash. Whether it's a big sugarcane, cactus, pumpkin, or netherwart farm. You can sell all of these items quickly with /shop, our globalshop feature. Sell items directly from your base or someone else's you just raided!
My goal for this server is to have a fun community. Sure, the satire of the server may add to it, but it's not even about that. I'm a chill guy and like to chat, make sure to check out the server for the gameplay and stay for the player interaction.
Also, I'm going to try and setup weekly events soon after the server takes off!

Had some host issues but we're back up to 24/7 and a new machine!
