Hi,
I have a runing server.
Have a creative, survival, working on PVP atm,
Was thinking about adding a Nightmare world for the true blood survival fanatics.
The point of this world would be to survive in an extremely harsh environment.
Constant night time, More mob spawns, and HARD diff.
What do you people think?

Let's stay on topic, people.
Also, since I tried something like this once, I like the idea of not only limiting the amount of light sources that could be created, but also making angler-esque monsters, that have shining lights on them to lure you in. Just a couple things you could add.

Maybe if you couldn't get a plugin to do it for you, try making a fairly large bedrock cube with trees, and other supplies in. That may be a way to do it.

hmmm what version is your minecraft? cuz i'm having a hard time with updating to 1.8 but i might be able to make you your own mobs if you ever need me to

Edit: And i ment plugins. not mods, I never mod server Jars.

hey how about so you don't upset anyone don't add demon. but do something like skyrim where you they are called something else and look slightly different like dremora.

On topic, I think the idea could work well. There's one person who frequents PMC server hall using a similar idea, I think it was DifficultGamer. You may want to ask him for a little advice... if you can find him.

Its a game chill out, so even zombies could be Satanism and they are in game you play, minecraft. And demons would be just mobs named as lets say "Demon1" and such oh and again reality and virtual reality are two different things, in one there are A LOT of things you wont see in while other one is boring (normal non virtual reality).

I love the idea! Truly a challenge for even an experienced Minecraft player.
Try looking into an old plugin called BloodMoon. I used to love it for my server, as every once and a while (you set it), the moon will rise blood red. Mobs gain superpowers, they break through blocks, creepers nuke, and zombies smash through pitiful houses. It was very challenging, but a lot of fun.

You'd have to look into your config though to see if the plugin is up to date. I really like the idea of an entirely night survival mode. Sounds epic!
